My bad, I forgot he missed 1 game his rookie season with a busted jaw, that's old school toughness right there. They had to restrain him to keep him from going back onto the field too.

Was very happy to hear Marshall lost a sponsor for kneeling! I can only hope this becomes more widespread!
Also I hope the NFL takes a page from the Washington Spirit women's soccer league playbook and just play the anthem before the athletes step on the field. If someone wants to protest, great, do it in the locker room and not in front of the camera.
Just curious but all these people kneeling in front of a camera, how involved are they in their protest efforts away from the camera? In their own free time? Are they writing letters, establishing an office, hiring workers to help spread the word? Ehhhhhhhhh, I don't think so.
I'm not against anyone's right to express their opinion, but I don't think they need to make it a staged event were thousands of paying fans didn't pay to see it.
Kneel in the locker room, you are still protesting.

The people that got pissy over it are why the cameras even show them. Nobody noticed Kaepernick the first 2 weeks he did it. People started yelling about it after the third game, so the media covers the issue.

Kaep only started this nonsense, because he was losing his job to Blaine Gabbert. Where was he last year? Social injustice isn't an epidemic exclusive to and/or born in 2016. Everybody else started doing it for attention. People don't watch sports for political activism and/or commentary; they watch it as a way to momentarily escape from life's harsh realities.

The whole "they have a constitutional right to do this" defense is pathetic. It's already a given that they have the right to expression. But, that right doesn't grant you immunity from criticism of said expression. It is disrespectful. Name me one country in history that hasn't had terrible things transpire on its land; you can't, because it is fantasy idealism. Again, social injustice isn't this new epidemic, so you don't deserve a pat on the back for your late activism.

Doing anything but standing on your feet tomorrow is a bad idea. You can expect folks to lose even more endorsement deals, if they do something as tasteless as kneeling tomorrow. Do stupid things, and win stupid prizes. Besides, football is a team sport, and uniformity is inherent within a team. If the team is standing, then you need to stand too. You're not an individual; you're a member of the team.

He started it in the first week of the preseason...

It's just empty words by Kaep. What change is going to happen?

He wants to do something real, he should quit football then he can focus on activism.

He wasn't trying to use words. People started *****ing about it. Kaepernick doesn't want this to be a big deal... Everybody else is making it one.

Funniest thing... People want to boycott the NFL over a few players kneeling during the anthem.

Things the NFL doesn't care about, are far more important and they haven't wanted to boycott for:
Concussions
Domestic abuse
Steroids
Not paying taxes for decades
Fleecing local and state governments for billions to build stadiums for billionaires
League demanding money from the military to recognize the military

And what is Kaeps endgame? What constitutes change? He'll be kneeling forever I guess.

If that is how he feels than he should stop kneeling.

Why aren't people boycotting MLB? They retired Jackie Robinson's number for every team and celebrate him every year, and he said he would not stand for the National Anthem.

Exactly. People don't kneel during the anthem, because they don't want anyone to notice it. They do it for the expressed purpose of attention. You can't kneel for the expressed purpose of protest, then complain when people criticize your protest.

He switched to kneeling after meeting with a Marine who told him that he should kneel instead of sitting.

He's doing literally nothing wrong. He shouldn't change because it hurts your feelings. It literally does not effect you at all.

He's knelt once and sat 3 times. Nobody said anything the first 2 times he sat.

I can't speak for others but did Jackie Robinson wear socks with pigs dressed in a police uniform on them? It was at that point that Kaepernick's "cause" lost all credibility with me.
Again, what are these people doing in their own time to further their cause? This is what I'm dying to hear! Are they writing letters to leaders? Are they holding town meetings to organize folks in the community? Are they doing a billion other things in their free time?
Or are they using a camera as a platform?

Think we all know the answer to that.

Also I should point out that if America is so bad, the option to leave is always there.

It's he doing anything to hurt you or three country? So who cares?

And that's the last I'll say on it.

Again while wearing the pig socks might not be hurtful, I would think most would find it very disrespectful.
What was that, his fight fire with fire approach? Classy guy!
