Default Nintendo Power Issues 1-145 digitally available for free

Nintendo Power‘s first 145 issues courtesy of the Internet Archive.

Probably going to hurt the resale value of my physical copies...not that I would ever likely sell them.

Speaking of Nintendo Power:

(coming October 12th from Viz. Will make an awesome companion to the previously released Link to the Past book)

Yeah, saw that one coming. Luckily, I d/l'd it before it was taken down. There is a chance it wasn't actually Nintendo, but rather a dummy account. Regardless, I'm sure someone will have it up elsewhere.

Right their full of themselves for protecting their IP that they depend on to stay in business.

Yeah, how full of themselves they are for telling a pirate website to remove their content.

They also took down that kickstarter book, but then only asked for some adjustments and allowed it in the end and a week later or so they ANNOUNCED THEIR OWN BOOK.

It's their content. And how do you know that they won't make those available in the future for example on NX?
Or for example as my Nintendo reward? They already made their animated Kid Icarus shorts available on my Nintendo in Japan. Same deal.

It's as if you would have said that Nintendo should allow people to download NES ROMs in 2004, because they don't sell them anymore in cartridge form. Wouldn't make sense in any case.

The silly "archive.org" pirate website even has the audacity to make copyright protected content available to everyone WITHOUT EVEN ASKING THE ORIGINAL OWNER of the works.

But well, when you are US government backed, I guess nothing matters anymore. While at the same time the US government takes down other pirates including ones, that aren't even living in the US. Hypocrites.

If there actually was a proper legal system in the US, the people operating archive.org would be in jail by now.

Uh oh did I upset someone?

Nintendo Power is ancient. It ain't available for purchase at all. Nintendo makes $0 that much money with it currently. If anything, it would get people interested in retro gaming on their built consoles but uh, that's not good.

First how is it ancient, they only shut it down four years ago.

Second, it isn't about the actual magazines it is about them protecting their copyrights, maybe take a class on how copyright works and stop getting your information from forums and thieves that will lie to you.

And so what if something isn't available for purchase that doesn't give you a right to STEAL IT. I have personal items that I am not selling, they are not available for purchase does that give you the right to break into my home and steal them because I am not currently making money off them?

Nintendo has a right, like it or not, to protect their IP. Maybe they are looking into selling old digital copies themselves? Even if they are not doing that is it THEIR property you do not have a right to it you didn't create it, its not yours.
