No surprise given recent publicity but Kaepernick came out as the most disliked player in recent public poll of NFL players. These polls are heavily dependent on recent news events. Enough time has passed that most people probably forgot Winston is a likely rapist and Roethlisberg is a possible one. There are a lot of other players who have committed serious crimes but just aren't well known enough to register in a poll like this.

This would be all fine and dandy if the media was hyping this week 17 and the Packers ended the season 6-10. But, week 2 and a 1-1 record..? Really? Talk about trying to boost ratings with lousy story lines.

Best QB of all time? Not even close. Best QB in the league currently? Who else would you rather have on your team other than Brady, Wilson, Newton or maybe Big Ben instead of Rodgers?

And when you talk about his receivers bailing him out, have you seen the percentage of catch-able passes Davante Adams misses versus the "highlight reel" catches he actually makes? Might as well say that Brady sucks too because Gronk and Amendola are always bailing him out with their catches.

The Panthers are talking about moving Sunday's game against the Vikings because of the violent protests in Charlotte. The story doesn't detail where or when the game would occur if it was moved.

His receivers bail him out a lot of the time with amazing grabs. I see other QB's throw the exact same pass and it gets picked off cause their receivers aren't as good.

Alright folks, what say you about tonight's game (HOU@NE)? I need to make my picks. The league is based on confidence points 1-16.

We've got a stout HOU defense with Osweiller and DeAndre on offense on the road versus Darth Bellichick with a 3rd string rookie QB at the trigger. Conventional wisdom says take HOU, but something in me just doesn't trust that with NE at home.

This isn't addressed to me, I'm neither a HOU nor NE fan. I reluctantly picked Houston. I trust in Hopkins, Fuller, Lamar Miller, and that Defense. (Not sold on Osweiler, but he's better than Brissett.) That being said, I looked pretty foolish the last time I counted out Belichick. I'm ready to be wrong on this one.

I couldn't agree more on the Bellichick part at the end, that's what's keeping me from picking HOU confidentially.
