I have. It's got the right tone for a Kenobi movie but otherwise isn't as great as people make it out to be.

This is all I want from them!

I want a noir detective story set on the rainy nighttime streets of Coruscant. Yes, Blade Runner for the Star Wars universe.

Ah, the 2nd Act Blues, hehe. That gets the best of them.

I'd love a film set during the KOTR era (please make those games canon Disney!). A film featuring a full blown jedi vs. sith war would be amazing.

I just want a film not centered around a death star or any variation thereof. The OT, TFA and Rogue One are more than enough...

I'd watch a show that took place entirely inside the Death Star.

I really want a spin-off movie for IG-88, this guy:

Have a futuristic Steampunk setting on Coruscant, blending the visual and storytelling artistry of Blade Runner. Maybe throw in a bit of the setting from the unreleased video game of Star Wars: 1313 which is all about Bounty Hunters in the underground of Coruscant.

Here is the trailer for that game:

Maybe throw in a few visuals similar to this game:

Then get some techno-esque music, much like a combination of Jabba's Palace music and The Terminator soundtrack.

Throw in a few Darth Maul looking people for IG-88 to hunt down and destroy in the style of RoboCop (1987) and I think that could be a winner.

Do they have to spend that much on it though? Something like a character study where an older, more grizzled Obi-Wan finds his humanity reawakened after years in Tatooine's wilderness (maybe he helps some villagers fight off Jabba's goons, like the magnificent seven one?) doesn't have to have loads of money spunked on it. It'd be a big risk in any case, but if they were to bring it in for a sensible amount (well under $100M) then it wouldn't need to do amazing figures to cover its ass.

But as you say, it's not the sort of thing that Disney/LFL will be gagging for, as the reception to the thoroughly safe TFA couldn't have been any more damaging for the direction that the spin-offs will take: safe sells, safe means not taking risks, safe gets you nearly a billion simoleons in domestic grosses alone. Instead of the insane profits from TFA meaning that Disney/LFL had a bit of a safety net when it comes to taking a risk, it's just made them all the more scared of doing anything remotely 'out there' when it comes to Star Wars.

I don't see why it's been so difficult for them to shape a Boba Fett film. Just remake Yojimbo/A Fistful of Dollars with BF. Like, don't even hide that you're doing it - just embrace it. It would keep him as a "bad" guy while allowing audiences to root for him.

They can go on a proper Western kick, first with a Fistful of Bobas and then the Magnificent Obi-Wan!

So I guess the noir one I wanted would be Coruscant Confidential.

I wonder if there'll ever be a Jar-Jar spinoff? Somewhere around 2090, if the Earth and its people are still here, once Disney have gone through the various SW trilogies and given notable characters their own film or two, would anyone have the courage to tame the untameable?

That does sound interesting but I can't stand another movie dealing with a planet/galaxy destroying mcguffin.
