Is this worth a blind buy or should I just wait till the retail release when it might be cheaper?

These Mondo Macabro 'limited releases' are variants of what will eventually be a cheaper general market release (sometime in 2017). The 'bonus' in this case is a red case (which was a Mondo Macabro trademark from DVD days), an exclusive booklet, the disc cover is numbered, and you get the movie earlier. Mondo Macabro is a label definitely worth supporting (who else would release an obscure 'vintage' Korean horror) but if your finances are short then there will likely be a cheaper edition down the pipe (Lizard in Woman's Skin and Symptoms are examples of prior Mondo Macabro limited releases that now have slightly more affordable general editions).

The two Mondo Macabro Blu-Rays I own are both pressed. I don't see them changing that up here.

Is this for sure going to get a standard type release later on? Or is that just what one would assume since past Mondo Macabro releases were like that.

I really want this release, but damn if my spending has been out of control lately, so I'd be down to wait for a vanilla release of this.

The article that was on the front page of this site said this:

"A retail release in a standard case without the booklet will be available sometime in Spring 2017."
