So sell them on eBay yourself if here's a market for them?

Why concern yourself with eBay flippers? As long as you aren't paying the container fees, it's not hurting you. The Code Red eBay market only exists because 1) you don't sell overseas 2) most people aren't aware of your bigcartel store 3) you hoard titles in storage containers that people want to buy. Those are issues that are within your control. So why get bent out of shape about a situation you've created.

I know I'd like to get my hands on a copy of CAVEGIRL. I believe you had it available for sale for maybe 10 minutes. I'm guessing you have 490 copies stashed somewhere.

why not get rid of them all and take a tax write off as a loss? Better than pumping money into some storage units hands every month.

Well he could easily sell 300 copies of Necromancy but Bill is mad cause Mr. Big said one thing and a 14 year old kid in the forums disagrees with Mr. Big = No sale

people complain, I don't listen...people say code red dont care

so now I listen, and people who place the film in the bucketlst...now complain.

First batch of complaint from people who bought it really upset me.

I release a rare film and i got 4 kids ranting on how it's the PG cut and others joined in.

If I put it back in the market...horder will buy it

also, some wise guy will post "I told you bill will place it back in the market. He's not honest with his words"

If I charge more money due to horder, people will complaint also.

No win situation.

It hurted me to read the rant I got for the release.

Dont want live with that again.

downright vicious.

Ruined my 4 month in Los Angeles. Felt terrible only to come back with more massacre.

new born child was born with no hate. but seems like these 4 guys must watch alot of angry movies.

You have a lot of new customers from this forum and others in the time since that missed out on your DVD days. It doesn't hurt to get a few out of storage and assemble some cheap genre bundles and give it a run.

Put up some more Day at the Beach 30 packs, I might need one for Christmas stocking stuffers.

Watched Black Candles and well...just when you think you have seen everything... Easily one of, if not, the sleaziest horror film I will likely watch this month. If you like nudity in your films, then this is the horror film for you. They didn't have to spend much on wardrobe as the cast is naked as much, if not more, than clothed the entire movie. I am not one to complain except the women have bushes that are larger and thicker than a mink stole. The main woman in it has a fantastic body but an awful haircut. The sad part is, the film just isn't very interesting. There are the two gross out parts with the goat and the sword but those do not save the film. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't very good either. The twist ending is lazy.

I will have to revisit this one later to make up my mind whether to keep it or sell it.

.
Does it matter who buys them or why?
If you can't or won't sell them then either do what the sellers do and make your discs more visible or have a bonfire.

You really can't complain about low sales or compare your numbers to the other studios as their titles are usually available from a variety of outlets.
The reality is that 99% of people who might actually be interested in buying from you don't know Code Red exist, don't know the titles are available and have never heard of the Cartel or even Diabolik.
The scalpers show there is a market out there so why not get some of it instead of moaning about it?

Sell it on the Cartel, and limit it to 2 copies per customer. Or sell all the copies to Diabolik and wash your hands of it.

Either way, you're making money and clearing space.

You create the scalper market then surely you don't get to complain about the scalper market.

I agree Bill. Who the hell cares if scalpers resell any of your movies for higher prices. Much like when you turn a package over to the USPS it is out of your hands, once you sell a DVD or blu ray it is out of your hands what people want to do with it.

People are really suggesting Code Red should liquidate their product at discounted prices and not care about smucks reselling the items for a premium? That's insane - you people are what's wrong with the cult movie marketplace today.

We should be saying 'No' to third party vendors inflating prices. It's important to channel money that is spent directly towards those studios and labels most willing to invest in producing quality releases or gambling on the films we like but may not be obvious financial boons.

The thing is, Bill isn't going to sell a lot of what is rotting for the price he wants, if he wants to get rid of it for something then he will have to discount it. Scalpers are a fact of life and Bill can't control who he sells to, legitimate customers and scalpers will purchase side by side BUT he will get rid of product for money and clear space in storage.

Yes, but the labels have to actually sell the movies in order for them to make money to acquire more. Sitting on them generates very little income

If I only have 100, Id rather keep them for my archive collection.

I will do a 4 pack for $ 14.99. I will have 30 of them ready. If it doesn't sell 30, then this whole conversation is all talik.

And they're dying in those storage units. Either sell them or just give them away and avoid all of those monthly storage fees.
