Cool, thanks for the pic. A red background of a faded Rockstar logo for Red Dead Revolution on the way it seems! (I wonder what the official title of the new game will be?) Nice to know we'll hear about it within the next few weeks.

I'm thinking it's going to be about Dutch's gang. You're going to either play as John or switch characters. If this is indeed a prequel and not a sequel.

I wouldn't be opposed to multiple character driven storyline. Although a more traditional game like the last one would also be fine.

This sort of game would lend itself perfectly to VR. The shooting mechanic demonstrated in the London heist was so satisfying. But I have to wonder how they would ever work it in to a whole game vs just a level or two as a bonus. That is a the worrying issue for me with the PSVR in general. I need to see 30+ hour games working well with it not just the short couple of hours we have with these early titles.

Back to red dead though i thought that at least one of those characters will be a woman. possibly the lead character, which would be a fresh take on things.

Character driven games are usually third person, as RD:R and other R-Star titles, which does not seem easily amenable to VR, if you ask me. You need to be able to see the characters. In the first person, the character's identity is not usually as important to the story compared to the story itself. Even moreso in a game where you play multiple characters, so as not to forget who you are at the time.

I also would not be surprised, if like GTA, there were multiple character stories. It worked well and added some interest.

I was thinking along the lines of GTAVs 1st person mode. Buy again from what I played if VR so far I'm still to be convinced they could pull of a game of RDR calibre in total VR.

After playing Batman VR I would love to have that kind of experience as a cowboy putting my hat on and drawing my 6 shooters from my holster.

Could you imagine playing the quick draw duels in 1st person vr physically habing to draw your gun and shoot.

I don't think the tracking is up to task on PS4 to be honest for it to be viable but would be cool for the future.

You could play as three characters in GTAV. So lets have 7 playable characters in this.

Usually once Rockstar starts teasing gamers with hints, we learn about the new game within the same month, remembering how GTA's of the past were presented.

Edge of Nowhere, from Insomniac games is giving VR 3rd person a go with decent results:

It's got some decent reviews anyway, even though reviews aren't always reliable, regarding the Insomniac VR game being 3rd person.

Looks like R* might be pulling a Magnificent Seven style Western story and with how good the movie was for me personally, I wouldn't be opposed to a very well written and done game involving a focus on a group.
