I’m glad that O’Dowd is getting the chance to lead his own comedy series, and with help from Guest mainstays like Michael McKean, Ed Begley Jr., and Fred Willard, Family Tree could be a really solid new HBO comedy. With a straight-to-series eight-episode pick-up for the first season, it looks like HBO is starting to hone in on creating a fantastic roster of innovative and hilarious comedy shows that could rival any of the big networks.

Completely forgot about this show but I enjoyed it when it was on,another show cancelled too soon.
At least Hello ladies is getting a closing episode to tie things up,unlike Hung which ended on a massive cliffhanger!!

I just watched the first episode of this, because I was already on HBO Go after watching Westworld, and I'm a huge fan of Chris O'Dowd.

Unfortunately, I didn't like this at all. At least not the first episode. And I really have no inclination to continue. Just...nothing happened. I didn't find it humorous, charming, sweet, emotional, anything. It was just a flat, gray line.
