For one, it's not necessarily coming in November, but that is the window they are hoping for.

For two, I'd expect it to go for $15, which means I probably won't buy it. After waiting this long, and the game not turning out as great as I thought it would, I can't imagine paying more than $10 for this. Especially when SFIV isn't all that far away. But that's just me.

Finally! I've been waiting for this game ever since they announced it. It took them long enough. It was supposed to come out last year.

I was really excited about this game when it was first announced, but my enthusiasm has dimmed significantly. It's taken far too long to produce and falls short in its presentation. The new art is amazing and keeping the old controls is probably best. However the decision to not add more frames of animation is inexcusable. I don't know if I'll even buy this anymore.

If they alter the number of frames it changes the core gameplay. People have gotten combos and timing down to specific frames and any alteration throws out the feeling of the game completely.

Plus SF4 comes next year so this online should hold me off until then. I hope it works with my arcade stick.

I would have rather they added new animations anyways.
Not all of us have been playing SF2 non-stop for the last 15+ years.

Besides, if anything it would have given it a fresh feel and people would need to re-learn the timing.

This better come out soon. Its been way too long. Im hoping its $10 like SPF2THDR

You can't add frames since they are using a current build of the game(the Dreamcast version of ST). And Capcom put a cease and desist on that immediately. They were not allowed to tamper with the game's program. A decision like that isn't inexcusable since Capcom was the one that put their foot down on it and with good reason.

If you tamper with the game's code and decide to add more frames, you open up a Pandora's Box of possible game glitches and thus further delay the game.

It seems that they did a good job rebalancing the game, but giving jab headbutt for Honda the ability to go through fireballs kinda makes it easier for him considering he's already a braindead character.

I really liked the SNES version better than the arcade. Even though a lot (I think almost 40%) of the frames were missing. It just goes to show you how great the game play was even with the missing frames. The timing was still perfect.

They need to do an alpha/zero hybrid. I can't stand the slowness of this iteration.

If all they are doing is replacing the existing sprites, it shouldn't have taken this long. As someone else posted, not many of us have been playing this old game religiously for over a decade. It is an old game that has been passed over by newer iterations and other games in this time. It should have gotten more than just a minor facelift, and smoothing out the animations should have been near the top of their list. With as long as it's taking, they could have added extra frames and balanced out the game to reflect it. If it needed to be balanced at all.
