It's kind of depressing knowing how bad the team has whiffed on QB's, blowing high picks on Gabbert and Bortles. I really can't believe Carr ended up the top QB of that class and not Bortles. I felt confident Bortles would at least be a solid long term started for Jacksonville And Carr would be the bust.
The names I keep seeing as possible first round QB's are Deshone Kizer, Mitch Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, and Brad Kaaya. I honestly have no idea who I would pick. Kaaya is a prototype pocket passer but is widly inconsistent with pressure in his face and a statue in the pocket. Watson is athletic and can make all the throws but I keep hearing he may come in under 6 foot at the combine and his stock is falling. I don't really know anything about Trubisky. Kizer has everything you could ever want in your QB but he is still pretty raw. All things considered if we are determined I would either take Kizer early or wait a round and take Watson. I fear we may have another year of Blake out there, and I really wanted him to succeed and thought he would, but he is just broken. He has gotten so much worse this year I don't think you can save him. We will see.

Really? The guy is only projected as a 5th round or later pick. Has Ohio St. ever produced a decent NFL QB? I looked at their draft history and can't find a single one going all the way back to the 1940's.

I'd be very surprised if he became a successful NFL quarterback. In general, it's a very weak QB class this year.

Kaaya seems to have slipped, now being projected as 2nd-3rd round. If he does go that late I wouldn't mind the Jags using a 2nd round pick on him. I think Kizer is most likely to be the first QB taken but there's not a huge difference in talent between him, Watson and Trubisky IMO.

Troy Smith, Terrelle Pryor, Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones!!!!!

Nah, I'm messing. OSU has had great QB's at the college level, but not pro.

When I watch Barrett though, the guy can pass and run. If it's his size hurting him, like it does some, then that's nuts. They need to lose this whole "size" thing for positions as we've seen numerous examples of smaller guys performing well. Some of the best QB's come in those late rounds, I'd definitely take the risk.

If Romo is gone as everyone assumes then the Cowboys will also be in the market for another QB next year. Usually you get a veteran backup to mentor a young guy, but the Redskins basically groomed two young QB's (RG3 and Cousins) at the same time and it seems to have worked out for them. I could see us drafting another QB in the later rounds.

I think part of the problem with Ohio St., and some other top-tier football schools like Alabama is that the big numbers their QB's put up in college are just a product of having amazing O-lines.

LOL at this guy. The Jets are in no position to be picky about QBs after lusting after Fitzpatrick all offseason. When is the last time the Jets had a good QB.

They don't need the Cowboys trash. Heard of a guy called Brett Favre?

HAHAHAHAHA. You really argued with someone about not wanting someones trash QB and then pointed out the only good QB they have had in the past 20 years has been someone else's old trash QB? That is priceless. Romo at this point is at least as good if not better than Favre was at that point.

The best Jets QB in a long ass time was a guy who wanted out after one season He retired so he didn't have to play for the Jets any longer.

I pray Romo has the good sense to retire before taking any snaps as a Jet.

Probably had more to do with going to Minny to give GB payback, but sure it was about the Jets specifically lolololololol. Me too Romo is a broken collarbone waiting to happen

Jets laundry list of reject QB's is almost as long as the Browns.

They did launch Tom Brady's career so that's one successful QB they can take credit for.

Hey I liked James Chadwick "Chad" Pennington and I am no jets fan but he was a decent qb till he injured his shoulder.

Tell me again how many playoff wins does Romo and/or the Cowboys have over the past decade? Yeah an injury prone choker should QB the Jets. Fit right in on the laundry list
