I also had a pair of ultra reliable 1200s in my DJ'ing days.
Holding your breath for Panasonic to re-enter the TV market might lead you to asphyxiation... Plasma was in a constant yearly decline, and the losses were similarly mounting, so I don't think a different CEO would have righted that ship. I also think you're overestimating the number of loyal Viera owners who are waiting on Panasonic to get it together. They lost me after the ZT60 and its everpresent IR. The number of Viera fans who would buy in (many of whom are price sensitive, so that leaves OLED in the cold) might make up 0.1% of world TV sales, not enough to move the needle in an industry that thrives on volume. |
