As much as I loathe asking this, but is there a way to register with DDDHOUSE.com that I am missing somehow? I am trying to create an account there but everytime I click to register account it times out giving me this message

Maybe send them an email. I doubt the problem is on your side of things.

now here is the second part of the problem, nothing shows up when I click on the contact/help portion or even more frustrating it too gives me the error.

the nice folks at dddh are having all sort of problems lately with their server

this also includes the "old" email which doesn't work anymore

also, the PayPal payment is broken too
so when you "confirm payment" you might have to refresh a couple of times, or go back and try again

Yes, Amazon Japan is the one Amazon that requires a new account.

I created a new account... I placed my order and the package arrived relatively fast compared to the other foreign Amazon sites. Only problem is that for some reason they had some random city in my state written in all caps twice within my mailing address. I fixed it through the DHL site and it took four extra days to get it after that.

Speaking of Amazon Japan, has anyone recently had issues with Credit Cards being rejected due to the CC company seeing the transaction as "suspicious?" I have never had such a problem in the 8+ years I've been using Amazon overseas and this week, I got an email that an order couldn't be processed due to my CC being rejected. Called the bank which had flagged the transaction and got them to ok it, but it still wouldn't go through. Tried another CC, same thing. Tried my Paypal CC, same thing.

Is there a way to pay directly via Paypal or better yet, use my (US) Amazon Prime Store Card for Amazon.jp?

I was able to prepare an order from a seller yesterday, but today I can't.

Whatever. I was able to get one of the movies I was planning to get from a marketplace seller on my regional Amazon site for an even better price. That Amazon.jp seller's loss, but me and the Amazon.com seller's gain.

Most of the time it depends on the seller. A lot of them don't send outside Japan. I recommend Tenso for this situations. It is a forwarding service which works excellent.

It's always been so that very, very few will ship abroad.

I also recommend Tenso. Great service, if a little expensive with shipping costs on larger shipments and fees for combining. Don't think that's cheaper anywhere else though.

If I order pre-order and in-stock items in the same Amazon JP order (and choose "Group my items into as few shipments as possible"), will it ship together or separately? (Only reason I ask is because amazon.ca usually ships items separately regardless, but from the JP site I’d rather everything ship together so it’s packaged in a box instead of separate bubble mailers.)

I have ordered a few movies in the past and only once did they send one of the movies separately, every other time they sent them together when the last one was released. Maybe they do it more often now but it might be safer to presume that they will hold onto them all until the last one is ready to be shipped to avoid being disappointed.
You could always stipulate that they are sent together, isnt there a comments section when ordering, i can't remember off hand?
