Been doing my part , purchased 17 titles in recent weeks, 7 of them being on UHD BD. Waiting on Oppo UDP-203 to complete my UHD/4K setup.

Got you beat! 50 titles in the last month.

I have decided to hold back for at least a year before jumping into 4K though.

(I cheated, I buy my discs in bulk from October-November!) .
Just in case you think I buy 50 Blu-Rays every month lol.

Got me beat. I only bought 5 (UHD). But I have a serious backlog so I held back for that reason. The BF sales are really tempting though!

Speaking of tempting, another reason I held back is because I bought an Xbox One S (the 2TB model at Target @$50 off + $40 gift card + 5% Red Card discount). I figured hey it plays UHD and I need a second UHD player (but I'll probably get the Oppo 203 anyway) and because I was curious to see what HDR gaming looks like (definitely NOT disappointed ).

Do you think that will mostly be online sales Blu Titan? I hear store wise, discs struggled this year.

I will get the Oppo. It's the top choice for me. I would have thrown my money at the PS Pro had it supported 4K Bluray but I will go for the Xbox as back up like Bruce. So very annoyed about the Pro, even now lol.

Apparently discs did OK (again) this year, as revenue is up from last year during BF week. So great news!

Looking through the last few weeks of numbers on the site.... those 3D figures are terrible. Often half of the 4K sales on a given title, a format that's been around for months. It's not that I had a picture of 3D Blu-ray as healthy in the United States but I didn't realize things were that bad.

I don't have figures but I get the impression it's doing a little better in the U.K. We still get Disney 3D discs and I see a small selection in stores.

I am hoping it just manages to hang on for a couple of years because we are getting some super vintage releases. I hope to add several more to my collection in the coming months and years.

2016 has brought several major catalog 3D titles: Jaws 3D, Metalstorm, Gog, The Stewardesses, It Came From Outer Space, Comin' At Ya!

I hope that such output will continue going forward.

Yeah, picked up ICFOS a few weeks ago for a very reasonable £9.

Some very committed people working on bringing us some 3D gems.

I don't plan on selling it. Besides, I own 5 movies and I'm not keen on giving up 4k access to 3 of them: Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai and It Happened One Night. Who knows if and when they'll be available on UHD BD and even if they do they might have HDR (I believe Lawrence has already been regraded with HDR).

Also I like to check in now and then to see their new offerings and to see if they are adding any new catalog.

As for the Oppo, I'm undecided about getting this one or the model that comes out in a few months. I'll probably get this one though but I'm not in a huge hurry right now (although that may change if the initial impressions report improved UHD PQ).

Another positive week and only 4 weeks left in the year. I'll update my table to see where we're at and what the chances are of finishing positive for the year (these last two weeks certainly help).
