I have had CSRs tell me InstaWatch was SD only. They're wrong. Here's what their product marketing manager had to say:
Quote:
Eligible DVDs provide the SD definition on VUDU.
Eligible Blu-rays provide the HD and HDX definitions on VUDU.
If you get the wrong quality, you may have to have your issue escalated.

Just bought AI off of the website that gave me instawatch directly into my VUDU.

I just got the copy and there's another instawatch sticker on the front of the Bluray. Could I theoretically also sell that as Instawatch with the receipt number and all that jazz?

No. You get one InstaWatch redemption and if you're lucky you get an additional redemption code inside the case that you can do with as you please. But your receipt has been exhausted.

Check the back of the IW sticker. I believe there were a few copies that also had a vudu code on the back of the IW sticker, while most didn't have a code.

It would be great if the new (old) 80's animated movie was, since the digital copy included is not redeemed through UV.

Word to the wise though, if an InstaWatch title doesn't go through right away it can be a nightmare to get sorted. I did the above with "We're Back" since they were selling the Blu for $7.88 and it regularly went for like $9 on eBay. The InstaWatch didn't go through and it took three months to sort it out with Vudu customer support. Even after providing them photos of the blu-ray (with the sticker on the front cause that is what they needed) the receipt and the UPC. Basically full proof I had purchased the disc. still took like three months for them to just give me a UV code. Even at one point they suggested just using the UV code instead but I persisted because I shouldn't have had to.
I can't believe how long it took, I basically called them out on there bs and asked them how hard was it to manually input the movies in my library or provide me with codes to redeem. Soon after that the movies appeared in my library.
