Brushing my teeth before I head off to work for the week, wish I could just stay home and watch Netflix instead.

Been rewatching them myself the past couple nights. Will be watching the third tonight; my personal second favorite of the series right after the first.

well, since i have a week off from work, i decided it was time i FINALLY fix the wall mount for my tv. so this is what i've been doing for most of the day, today.

ever since i got it, it's been mounted on two 2x4s that were screwed to the outside of the wall. the studs in that certain wall are absolutely crazy and are not on 16"centers. so when i go the wall mount a few years ago, i had to mount the 2x4s to the outside of the wall by screwing them into the studs, then bolt the wall mount into those 2x4s.

i'd been wanting to fix it for the longest time; so today i decided was a good day to do that. of course that meant moving all of the collectibles sitting on the table underneath the tv. then i removed the tv itself, then the wall mount, then the two 2x4s.

then i got to cutting on the drywall to expose the craziness behind it. i cut the aforementioned 2x4s into smaller pieces to fit between the studs and made sure i had enough to bolt the wall mount back to the wall. then i cut a piece of drywall to cover the hole i'd made. and while i had access to the interior of the wall, i ran the wires for my center channel and front right speakers since they'd never been run inside the wall originally.

so i got the drywall screwed in place and mounted the wall mount again, making sure it was level. i'm gonna go back later and tape, mud, and sand the patch as i just didn't wanna deal with it today. and yes, i'll do it this week since i got the supplied for that, as well.

but the wall mount is up and all i have to do is put the back-lighting strips on the back of the tv (took them off 'cause the double-sided tape i used wasn't very good and it was starting to come off; so i got some better stuff), hand the tv back on the wall mount, put all the other stuff back in place and enjoy.

and at this moment, other than typing this, i'm eating some dinner 'cause i'm damn hongry.

They had me jog right there in the store and had me jump on the treadmill and filmed me and then did comparisons on a computer. It was quite interesting. And most shoes are good for about 500 miles? lol one pair would last me 5 lifetimes!
And your first marathon will be in Texas, or is there an El Paso in New Mexico?
Oh right, the Minnesota part. We flew up to Minnesota at the end of November to watch the Vikings-Cowboys game. Can't believe how great my legs feel today, really think I'm going to surprise quite a few people in my first ever marathon.

If I can somehow run at my 10k pace for that whole thing I might finish in the top 30 but I shouldn't get my hopes up that high. I just hope I finish and finish ahead of a decent number of people.

Wow you flew up there just for a football game? Do you have family up there?
Is your family going to watch you run the marathon? Does your sister do marathons too?

We also have family up there that we visited. I imagine they will, marathons are a big deal. My sister's been running on treadmills for at least 6 years but she won't go above 13.1s, which is kinda weird. I think she should just give it a try but oh well, at least she's doing the half and she'll be there to see me stumble to the end of a 26.2 mile run. Hoping for 3.5 hours or less, still can't believe my legs aren't that sore today. After last Sunday's run my legs were sore through Thursday...

3.5 hours is definitely attainable! My first marathon I finshed it in 3 hours & 45 minutes & the following year I finished in just under 3 hours!

Well I know it's not until next month, but I look forward to hearing how you did.

Downloading an hour long video about Bloody Sunday in Belfast.

Heh not quite, it's about 2 months away or I'd be more concerned about my current level of conditioning. As it is, I expect to do better than people think but probably not as well as I'd like. Never intentionally stopped at every water station for a sip but I will during this race since I don't want to dehydrate before I reach the end and the little breaks should give me a little extra juice to explode near the finish line like I do during 10ks. Kinda did it on Sunday too but really after running that long it's more like I speed up just a little bit and then stop really close to the car. Belfast, yikes.

Are you going to actually stop at the stations and gulp it down or are you just going to grab a cup as you pass and keep going? And yes, I meant February, February 19th to be exact. Guess my memory isn't so bad
Yeah I don't know much about Irish history but I do have an interest in it. I've got a few movies in my collection that deal with The Troubles.

I'm going to stop and gulp it down, at least at first, depending on how I'm doing towards the end I may just grab and keep running. Gotta remember now to overdo it though, since there will be plenty more marathons to come. Irish history...I know virtually nothing about it.

You're going to hold on to the cups all the way to the finish line? You're not going to litter are you? hehe
We probably know about the same when it comes to Irish history. I haven't really studied it or anything. I do have a couple books also but haven't started reading them yet.
