The Box is £50.41 on Amazon (I think it was £48 a couple of days ago), I think a better bet is Zavvi, they have the individual films in their two for £11 offer, £5.50 each, not bad, & you don't have to buy the films that you don't want.

The Final Frontier and Insurrection are the worst.

The Slow-Motion Picture? I think it did all right by bringing Star Trek to the big-screen. It was a bit of a slog to get through. I don't understand why they stuck with the Phase II story when they could have gone on to something else. It wasn't exactly action-packed and had little humour unlike the series.

It needs to be re-done. Even the director's cut has some shoddy effects work left in. I'd hope they'd go back to it after they release The Next Generation on BD.

I thought this was book style packaging? I take it that it's only USA and Japan that got that then??

Wonder what the new amazon pack will be then ?

TNG is being done by CBS who have nothing to do with the films, Paramount are the ones who will need to put up the cash and they don't seem to be any hurry and are perfectly happy re-releasing the same old discs again and again

Yeah, we can only dream that Paramount might hand the films to CBS-D to work on. They'd do a job a thousand times better than the crap transfers of almost all the Trek films we got on Blu-ray.

I have just received this from Amazon UK.
I'm not entirely wrong in suspecting that this is not... erm... "factory sealed", right?

Yikes.

Also, if you suffer from a level of OCD, you might not like that the Nemesis disc art doesn't match the rest of the set.

At least, that's how it was in my set, also from Amazon. Might just be an isolated incident.

I do.
Luckily it isn't of the "everything needs to be uniform and line up" variety.
But it is most certainly of the "when I buy a new item, I dont expect it to arrive in a plastic bag sealed with sticky-tape" variety.

I got my copy like that too, but the actual plastic case inside is factory sealed in cellophane. I think the outer plastic cover might just have been added to protect the cardboard cover, you should open it and check as it might be sealed inside.
