I watched Clone wars right before Panda and had no issues with the disc (the movie itself is another story). I was just wondering if any one else has had this issue.
I think it's the disc, and not your machine. I had the same exact thing happen with The Incredible Hulk, and I use a PS3. In fact, it's the first time my PS3 has ever paused or locked up like that, and it did it twice in a row with Hulk. For me, it happened when I paused the film. After a couple of minutes, it went to a Universal screen saver of sorts, but I couldn't get it to resume or do anything without shutting down the PS3 completely.

I'm pretty sure it's the disc and not your player. Is Kung Fu Panda a Universal release too? If so, they've got an issue on their end.
