Not really that blind, just rather fond of Romo and everything he's done to make my team at least semi-relevant. Dak Prescott is the present and future though, hope Romo can get through the Iggles game without suffering any new injuries.

Lol, oh yes! Quite blind...but so are a lot of fans.
Bro, you need to drop the 3rd grade team name calling. That doesn't help your cause either.

Iggles is name calling? I had been told it was just a word people use to talk about Philadelphia, my mistake.

In a meaningless game for both teams I bet we still beat the Iggles.

And Zeke is what...around a buck ninety away from the rookie rushing record? I wonder how much he will lobbey for playing time. The record book closes forever when the clock hits 0:00.

He and the rest of the team both care more about winning a Lombardi than personal records. Besides with Smith out, the OL won't be blocking at their usual level so it makes sense for Dak and Zeke to play a couple series then let Romo and Run DMC take over.

Playing with fi-yah!!! Only takes one bad play to potentially collapse a playoff team. Just ask Oakland and Tennessee.
But as a Dallas WR once said: better bring your popcorn!

I know, Dak is one of the biggest QBs in the NFL, I trust Linehan and Garrett to keep the plays short and to the point this week. Dak wants to play the entire game but that's just not happening, especially against your defense who would love nothing more than to injure another Cowboys QB this close to the play-offs.

We can't help it if Dallas QB's always seem to get hurt.
Maybe Dallas needs a new S&C coach!

Romo doesn't "always seem to get hurt", he's just getting a bit more fragile later in his career. Why I hope he also only plays a couple series and then your Sanchize plays the rest of the way. Dak took a pounding at Mississippi state and so far gets up with minimal issue in the NFL. *knocks on wood*

Quote:
PHILADELPHIA -- The news that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will probably play in the regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles appeared to catch much of the NFL world off guard and kick-started a debate about whether exposing Romo to potential injury is worth the risk.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, though, said he is not surprised, adding that it is a move he would consider if his team were in a similar position.

"One, you don't risk injury to your starter," Pederson said at his news conference Friday. "And then two, your backup needs to be ready in those crucial moments. We were faced with it just a week ago with Chase [Daniel, having to replace Carson Wentz]. Having him play and play extensively would be very beneficial going into the postseason."

The Romo situation is unique, however. He suffered a compression fracture in his back during an Aug. 25 preseason game. Rookie Dak Prescott took the reins in Romo's absence and helped the Cowboys to a 13-2 record. With Prescott laying claim to the job, the 36-year-old Romo could turn into a rather valuable trade chip this offseason -- unless he suffers a significant injury in a rather meaningless game for the Cowboys on Sunday.

For the Eagles, it's not as meaningless. They wouldn't mind taking out their frustrations on the rival Cowboys.

Unsure about which quarterback they'll be facing and for how long, the Eagles' defense is working from the top down.

"I think we're just preparing for whoever," safety Rodney McLeod said. "But obviously 4 [Prescott] is the starter, and that's how we've been approaching it. There's been talks of Romo I guess playing and then [Mark] Sanchez as well. So preparing for whoever, man. All we can do is run our defense. We've studied their concepts, believe they're going to run their same offense. At the end of the day, they're going to run the same things, it's just about who is going to be throwing the ball, pretty much."

Added felow safety Malcolm Jenkins: "We're expecting to see their starters. Anybody else who comes in, we'll just adjust to."

McLeod was asked whether getting a chance to face Romo adds extra juice to the matchup.

"I think the game is enough juice alone," he said. "We're excited. Unfortunately, this is our last game, but I feel like we owe them one from the previous game. They're a division opponent, and we want to finish the season and the year off with a win."

I wouldn't play Romo, especially if the Cowboys are trying to trade him in the off-season. The dude is made of glass in this stage of his career. What happens if he suffers another serious injury tomorrow? Cowboys are stuck with a still-injured Romo. Trade him in the off-season, and let him get injured on someone else's dime.

Romo isn't in Randall Cunningham's league.

You're spot on. This is a really risky move by Jerry Jones. One bad hit could completely blow up his trade value.

Romo is 2-4 in the play-offs, don't think Ron Jaworski or Randall Cunningham had much better luck in the play-offs when they were Eagles.

Well if you're going to go team specific, most likely Romo will only ever have two(2) playoff wins for Dallas.
Slice it any way you want, but Romo was a regular season talent, but couldn't deliver in the post season.
As I said, unfair or not, it's just how QBs are measured.

In the whole time Romo was the starter here there was maybe one season where he had a good defense. The 51-48 Broncos Cowboys game will sum up his career here.

Dolphins (I hope) will get the 5th seed tomorrow by barely (also I hope) squeaking out another W against the Pats.
