Default Onkyo605/PS3 connection help?

Can someone tell me how to hook up my PS3 to my Onkyo receiver with my HDMI cables? I hooked it up how I thought it should be but I am not getting a signal.

Well firstly it has to be connected to the IN1/2 at the back of the amp, not Out. In the amp setup you have to turn hdmi ON. You then have to assign where you want to assign you ps3. I assigned mine to dvd so when I press dvd on the remote the ps3 works. Try this, and read over the manuel again.

Well I just went through all of the settings and as far as I know I assigned everything correctly. I have the PS3 connected to the receiver's IN 1 slot. Then I have another HDMI cable connected to the OUT slot and running into the tv's HDMI slot. Am I connecting something wrong here?

Yep I am 99% sure I connected everything right. I am guessing there is something I am missing with the settings? Can someone PLEASE help out with this? It is annoying. Anyone else have an Onkyo 605/PS3 setup that can help me out?

My 605 was a ***** to setup. After getting it set to HDMI and setting all the inputs, I still had to tinker with a few settings to get my other things to work (like my Wii) on it. Love my 605, but it was not very easy to setup.

PS3 is a ***** to setup too, so make sure that you have your PS3 setup right as well. All the outputs have to be set just so or somethings will play right, others won't.

Have you set the Video Settings on the PS3 to output via HDMI?

Might want to guide us through your difficulties in your hook-up, so that any future members can use your situation as a guideline.

Honestly I just kept changing around the settings on my PS3 and receiver until everything started working...haha. The thing that was keeping my blu-rays from showing up visually though was that the PS3 option "BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)" was on and that HAS to be turned off or you will only get audio. The audio sounds awesome now though no if only they start releasing some 7.1 titles!
