I ordered the German version through Amazon.de for US$58 delivered. It took 2.5 weeks to get here to the states, but I was pleased to discover the offering had multiple languages and defaulted to English. Wife and I started watching it on Tuesday night and got through most of Season 1 Disk 1. We decided we liked it and this evening tried to renew our binge-watching.

On Season 1 Disk 2, Episode The Devil's Threesome, somewhere in Chapter 2/3 there is a video encoding issue that trumps the Blu-ray player. This boxed set offering is Region 2 locked, but we were playing this in a Region 2 player that we've used many times before with Region 2 locked disks.

Since we had multiple Region 2 players about I tried another and the problem followed the disk. We couldn't get past the issue and it kept locking up the players. We had to wait for the brief interval it would recover before we could get the players to respond just to be able to eject the disk.

Bummer. Had I bought an American offering from Amazon.com I would have already been on the phone with them, but because I got it through Amazon.de I am not about to make international calls to recover US$58. Wife and I will just move on and put this series on a back burner.
