you should work for a studio, that is a great idea

Honestly, I don't mind the HP movies. They're not great, but they got all the stuff that's actually important. U no, like everything that ends up in book 7. As long as that one's done properly, I don't care. You want a bad adaptation, read the golden compass, then watch that movie. It's pretty poorly done, despite what the director's intentions were. No one's ever satisfied, if it's not that one movie doesn't have enough material from the book, It's that another is too long. Seriously, people, you'd think that if those were true, the studios would get it(and the HP filmmakers who actually like the books).

And to close it off.......
I love LOTR, and will get the EE blus as soon as possible!

The VFX and the additional score for the EE were done at the highest quality possible. For a limited time prior to TT and ROTK, New Line re-released FOTR and TT in its extended edition version sans the DVD credits. I saw FOTR and TT EE in the cinemas. Gorgeous.

And yes, most of the extras were shot in SD. Some were shot in film but mastered in SD.

Ok so you WILL borrow or rent the theatrical versions then NONE OF YOU WILL WAIT. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU.

Yep, Hope people don't mistake me with someone else using the same avatar. I even asked him to be original and use some other avatar as I have been using this one for a long time. But he chose to keep it so what can I do.

Anyways I love the Lord of the Rings. I read the books (as well as other books by Tolkien) and I love the movies.

Default Lord Of The Rings in 2009

At this time the only way Lord Of The Rings will end up in my HD library we get the EE version ! I currently own both theatrical and EE editions of the dvd so I will defiantly not rush out and buy the theatrical and EE again. I only want the EE version !

It seems inevitable for such a highly anticipated release.

I'm right in the middle of the Hobbit(1979 edition) and am taking a break to read eldest, which is not tolkien. I don't have any other tolkien books, aside from LOTR.

There is a God, because you love FG AND read!

I am a glutton for punishment and will buy both the Theatrical and Extended, just like I did on DVD.

Quad-dip here I come.

I, likewise, will NOT double dip on the Blu-Ray versions of this film. I'll ONLY buy the EE versions, whenever they become available. Until then my EE SD versions will do.

You may be able to say anything you want, but I would say that your comment falls under the trolling definition. You offer nothing to the converstaion except to inject your personal opinion of the films themselves and not the the topic at hand.

Just my 2 cents.

That would also be considered trolling.

I will buy whichever version it is because I enjoy both cuts in their own way.

Concerning the book, Tolkien said there was no way to satify 100 percent of the people with all of the material, and so it is with the Jackson interpretation of the movies. I was personally getting tired of the number of falls the hobbits seemed to take, especially Frodo in FOTR, Faramir's lust for the ring in TTT, etc. But minor points aside, I still think that these are the best movies I have seen. I certainly can't recall seeing any movie that has been made with greater care.
