why not cops vs robbers or indians and tomahawks vs american colonies rofl it just wont happen. and brett has a point, theres no end to vietnam we left.. however u could focus on a side mission.

WWI might be alright... IDK... maybe they could do 2 other countries with no US involvement.

Have they confirmed that they're counting WaW as the 5th CoD, even though they don't use it in the title? Might seem a little weird if people see CoD 4 and 6, and don't know what the 5th is.

Anyhow, Gettysburg for me. Sure it'd be ridiculous, but I trust that IW is good enough, and would make it work.

World War I with Australian Imperial Forces playing a crucial part in the story and characters, we've been apart of every major conflict in history so what ever era is chosen by developers us Aussies would be a great inclusion as a piviotal part of the story. Maybe a Gallipoli story line against the Turks in the similar approach as BIA:HH survive a great and harrowing ordeal and help promote a turning point in history for Australia and the world. Our humour and undying resolve to help a mate and back him up in any situation would be terrific drama and tension and teaching history to a younger generation thru the medium of games.

I honestly can't see IW doing a pre-WWI game (IE the American Civil War, Boer War, 1812, Revolutionary, Napoleonic, etc) due to the weaponry involved not fitting with the gameplay style the series is known for. Major options then would include WWI, Korea, Vietnam, or the Soviet War in Afghanistan. Another option would be a continuation of Modern Warfare, but they would have to differentiate the game from CoD4 and other modern set FPS games. They could also go back to WWII though I don't think they (rather than Treyarch) would take a step back. If they do though, some unexplored ideas would be the North African campaign or playing from the Axis POV. A futuristic game was rumored and I think if IW goes for that they would create a hard sci-fi game that is a realistic extrapolation of current warfare weapons and tactics and the current geo-political climate. No laser weapons, no space battles, no aliens. Call of Duty is not Halo. Of course IW has presumably already been working on the game for a while and so have already picked a setting. Of course it could be none of the above and a more outside the box pick.
