A good site to check German blu-ray's for subs is this one. Enter a movie en check for 'Untertitel' (=subtitles).

Two titles I intend to order from Germany, Lawman (1971) later this month, & the excellent remake of The Getaway (1994) in early March (both first time on Blu-ray).

The Blue Max (1966) Buy the French release, that one has the new transfer (same as the Twilight Time release), the German release has the old transfer.

Ridley Scott's A Good Year, great release from France & Germany, the last time I looked Germany is a wee bit cheaper. Fox didn't release this in the UK or US, maybe because it didn't do very well at the box office.

A great site to view forthcoming German releases:

I think you mean A Good Year ?
Fox have released same disk in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. I bought from Spain along with Working Girl, another Fox title they have not released in the UK.

As said in this thread, a complete list of 'blu-rays from Europe not available in the UK' list would be massive. Here's my list of blu-rays in my collection:

Dario Argento's Dracula
Dario Argento's Giallo
Dario Argento's Mother of Tears
Dario Argento's Opera
Dario Argento's Pelts
Dario Argento's Phantom of the Opera
Dario Argento's Sleepless
Dario Argento's Trauma
Duck You Sucker/Fistful of Dynamite
My Name Is Nobody
Army of Darkness - director's cut
Dellamorte Dellamore
Judge Dredd
Mr Majestyk
Nightbreed
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Prince of Darkness
Wish I Was Here

Mr Majestyk has been out for some time from Signal One. Brotherhood of the Wolf theatrical cut is with Studio Canal.

I imported the excellent Experimenter and the not-so-excellent Crossbones: Series 1 (I'm blindly loyal to Malkovich) from Germany this month.

Both cracking releases, no forced subs on either.

Ha, fixed. It's funny that Fox didn't release it in the US or UK, the Blu-ray defaults to English, it's exactly the same disc that would be released over here. It's one of the few Scott films that I really like, Russell Crowe being boyish & funny & charming, I think he'd have trouble pulling that off now (I bet Marion Cotillard has aged much better!).

Thanks for all the titles so far, if people can just add to this thread when they find or have something in there collection, that would be of great help to many.

Wouldn't it easier to update the OP with titles being suggested to make finding titles in the future easier?

I've got the German releases of Chicken Run and Lemony Snickets A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Haven't looked at the Chicken Run disc yet but the latter is just like how you would expect an English release.

Germany gets a *lot* of horror in particular on Blu that the UK doesn't, but can occasionally be subject to censorship - often end up comparing running times to work out!
That can even be UK films - the excellent The Canal springs to mind, more recently The Rezort

Cheeky question I know (sorry!) but has anyone come across the sequel to The Crimson Rivers (Les Anges D'Apocalypse / Angels of the Apocalypse) that has English subtitles anywhere? From what I can see the French release has none, despite the English-friendly nature of the first film...

I have been looking too for an english subtitled version of that sequel but to no avail.
Think censorship is less of an issue with German releases than it used to be.
Of course it still occurs in the UK. The sequel to the I Spit on Your Grave remake had 7 minutes cut in the UK. The blu ray released in Austria is the only uncut version.
