Any time you want to go on a new vacation, you can drop down $60 to go wherever you want, and DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. Take Fallout 3, for instance? Want to go slaughter countless innocents and defile yourself with women? Want to be a complete saint, and save every person you come across (and not double-cross the android after you get his plasma rifle.) Games like Oblivion are just as beautiful (IMO) as a trip to Hawaii, too. Looking at it this way, I've gone on more visual vacations in my life than any businessman that travels all the time....
I see what you're getting at and agree that investing in your home is a great way to enjoy yourself year round, but having been to Hawaii on three separate occasions, I suggest it be on everyone's bucket list. While video games are extremely enjoyable and a great way to "escape," There are some things you simply must experience in person. I mean, you only live once..

+1

video games are great, but you don't need to drop $3k to enjoy them. a memory like that of a vacation to hawaii is priceless. it also is therapy to the soul and mind.
