Could always be eyeing the Titans job down the road as well. I think this is a good destination for a young guy looking for another shot.

If Mularkey blows it next year, I think JRob (who spent many years with the Pats) will fire him. McDaniels would be a top candidate, I'd imagine.

Agree with this statement, just take 'Ol Brett Favre for example. We all know he wanted to keep playing but age caught up to him & also playing for the Vikings will make you want to retire as well. [emoji14]

With a franchise QB in place, Titans would be a very attractive job. Also, living in Nashville wouldn't be too shabby. Really cool city.

Ugg... Jaguars are interviewing Chip Kelly for OC. I'm not a big fan of this. He's had plenty of time to try his offensive schemes in the NFL and in both Philly and San Francisco it's been a failure. I doubt he'd be any better of an OC than a head coach in the NFL. The guy's system only works out in the college game. Hopefully the Jags pass on this guy.

It sounds like he's a lock to me, guess Jags' front office wants to get a bit risky to turn the team's fortunes around.

I'm proud of what I just pulled off.

I was in Boston on the weekend attending an event. I stepped aside to see the Saturday night game at a sports bar, but on Sunday I got to wondering if I could see both games without knowing their outcomes while still focusing on the conference. While I caught some of the first game on a screen at a bar, I remained determined. Where it really got difficult was when I needed dinner, and every decent restaurant was showing the game. One sports bar even showed it on screens only visible from the streets outside.

I blocked that side of my vision, went to a Cantina I liked last year for its Chicken Mole, looked away from big projected screen, and covered my ears every time people shouted or talked about football until the Packers@Cowboys game was over and gone, then switched to the opposite side of the table to watch Steelers@Chiefs from the top.

I got home after 2am, turned on the TV and set my DVR for the replays of the day's games on NFL Network. Finished watching them just now; for finishes like these, I think the effort was well worth it.

I'm actually going to be having dinner at Be Our Guest during the AFC game next week. I don't think I can dodge spoilers for a whole week though.

Not to be ajerk, but what was the point of all that?

I on the other hand made the trek up to big D this past weekend without knowing whether or not I was actually going to go to the game. I was well-prepared to watch the game with a fellow Packers-fan tailgater or at a nearby bar. The friend I went with and I were checking our phones for any last-minute drops in price for tix. When guess who walked up to hand us all-access pre-game field passes?!?!?! Mark freaking Murphy!!!

He saw us all decked out in our Packers gear and decided to make our day! So of course we nabbed the cheapest SRO tickets which were only $91. More than twice the face value but for a last minute deal, not bad. And to top it all off, we won!!!

Can't wait for next weekend. I'm far more afraid of the Falcons than I was of the 'boys though they put up a fight. I'd feel more comfortable if I knew Jordy was ready to go.

You're a Spurs/Packers fan? That's a strange combo.

I'll admit, strange. But I'll be damned if I root for a team or two that keeps my own city from getting it's own sports team. I've had to defend myself for decades now but I've been a Packers fan since I started following football on account of my father being one having grown up in that area in the 60's. I inherited it you could say.

Same as the point of your post: sharing a story about how I saw the games. Sorry it's not as exciting as getting tickets at the stadium but for me dodging spoilers but still getting the dinner I wanted was a challenge.

Is it as strange as me being a Cowboys fan for NFL and Minnesota for every other sport?

Who's the franchise QB? That actually makes 16+ teams that are set at QB and wouldn't even consider Alex Smith. Still wonder where Romo will end up, that will probably be the story of the off-season.

Mole Poblano from Temazcal in Boston; its a half chicken served over mashed sweet potatoes and a layer of the mole, which is made with chocolate but is in fact a savory/dinner sauce.

Not really. The Cowboys, like the Yankees or the Lakers are the default team for a lot of Americans. I mean, I'm trying not to use the term bandwagon fans, but that's the case in most cases. For example LeBron James is from Ohio but he's a Yankees and Cowboys fan.
