Default Cutting off their nose to spite their face

What's with this?

You can see the Blu-Ray deal on top. Why show that animated picture of only HD-DVD releases? I have to feel sorry for consumers ready to pull the trigger but then shown something like this. I can't figure out why they would want to slow down Blu sales.

Isnt' Amazon the one making deals with hd dvd such as supporting the indie films on their site?
