Watched Thor. I had seen it in 2D and I agree with many of you, the 3D added nothing to this one. The opening and ending credits set the mood for an amazing 3D experience that was never delivered. I felt like I was watching an autoconversion from my tv software.

Pan 3D on the other hand was a 3D orgasm in comparison. It looked like what HDR should look like, but in 3D! The story is okay enough and the visuals, sounds, and costumes save it most of the time.

Have a beer or two when you watch Spiders. It will be more enjoyable that way - LOL!

I turned Spiders off after about 10 minutes.

Far too many reflective surfaces and the movie was tripe!

I agree with you on THOR. Marvel didn't get 3D right until THE AVENGERS.

Watched The Martian 3D and Journey to Space 3D on the new OLED.

Both were great for PQ and 3D, OLED really does Space well!

I think Space Junk 3D is still my favorite IMAX 3D though.

Frank, I know this is a 3D forum but I have to recommend you watch Interstellar on your new toy. You can even convert it to 3D if you want. The Imax switching scenes happen so often with so much eye candy that it just shows you what no other TV can do.

I'm blessed with a huge backlog, Thank God for OLED!

I'll have to checkout Interstellar and Gravity 3D too.

Just got xXx 15th Anniversary tonight, looking forward to converting that too...

New to this forum, I've been binge watching 3D blu-rays recently after having moved back in with my parents to prepare for and recover from a couple of surgeries. With the full home theater projector set up in the basement that they upgraded to 3D last year, there are many worse places I could be recovering.

So far The Martian has been my favorite 3D film, though Everest was pretty amazing as well. The Martian is definitely a better movie and one I'll re-watch more (already watched it a second time), but the Everest 3D experience just blew me away especially being fully surrounded by the mountains in the 'theater' room.

Monsters Inc. was also awesome in 3D! If you remember the epic Pixar scene at the end when Sully and Mike are getting chased in the revolving maze of doors, it's 100x more epic in 3D. And there are other great 3D moments throughout the film.

Looking forward to combing through this thread for other suggestions.

I absolutely love Pan, it's one of my favourite 2015 movies, so underrated and as you've said the 3D is out of this world.

Captain America: The First Avenger has a really nice 3D conversion, still impresses me.

If you had to name ONE Marvel title that looks impressive in 3D which one would you pick?
I think Guardians of the Galaxy is the most impressive 3D by Marvel to date

It would be between Ant Man, Guardians or Dr Strange as those are the three strongest 3D ones from Marvel so far.

Thor Dark World is just as pointless in 3D as part 1...Too bad because it had potential

I give Thor Dark World a pass for the 3D as I really like the movie, I find the 3D acceptable but yeah, nothing more than that

I like the movie and I watched it more than once already...But I always pop in the 2D bluray because I dont feel the 3D disc improves much on this already stellar title

Personally I will always choose 3D over 2D unless the 2D was an autoconvert. I think 3D always improves CGI, even if it's mild 3D.

Very true...3D also seems to work as a noise reducer but without the negative effects of noise reduction feature

Yes that's also true, I think it presents detail better too, although perhaps that's just my eyes playing tricks of me.
