I hope it keeps this cover art too and does NOT match the other films' steels, considering that R1 isn't part of the main timeline.

Yet it has everything to do with the main timeline...

You can't call this a one-off or even a spinoff. It may've been conceived from the opening crawl of A New Hope, but it perfectly bridges the gaps between the prequels and the original trilogy.

I hope it keeps that as well. I didn't care for the artwork on any of the other steels.

I'd have to aggressively disagree with this. This, the Solo film, and the third unannounced film, are definitely spinoffs in the sense that they aren't trilogy films.

Your not the only one. Each time BestBuy put a steelbook pre-order the same issue happen, again and again.

True. But they will still flow with the main timeline. It's not like Nu-Star Trek where these are being told in separate timelines or even separate galaxies. They are set in the same universe and (Rogue One, at least) have deep impacts on the overall saga.
