I'll wait for an announcement from Warner first. It would be weird to release it in Dolby Vision but in dtsX and not Dolby Atmos.

There are other sources:
http://surround-sound.info/news/pott...im-o-ton-8708/ I guess from the same original news source does seem strange to not have Dolby Atmos, but then studios can do what they want can't they. Also it makes sense if the German Discs have DTS MA 5.1 "Core". |

It all comes down to how much money and how much time they were willing to spend on each film in the series. But it is good to see that they will have Dolby Vision grading (hopefully, in 12 bit). |

Then again, perhaps the Freakosaurus is onto something: if they are indeed "native" 4K builds as claimed in the article then Warners might've blown their remastering budget on that, hence them cheaping out with DTS:X mixes rather than Atmos. |

I didn't say it was a requirement. I remarked that it was odd that Warners' first titles to apparently feature Dolby Vision will also be their first UHD titles with immersive audio that isn't an Atmos track, which has been a mainstay of Warners' usage of immersive audio thus far. It just seems like a strange time to ditch Atmos when the synergy of having DV + DA together on one disc would be a wet dream for Dolby fanboys.

But yeah, I agree it's an odd choice. ![]() Amazon also updated the front covers, with new HDR labels. ![]() |

More troublesome is that if they really will have DOLBY Vision, I don't think that will be using that on the cover. I would expect it to clearly advertise Dolby Vision or use a DOLBY vision TM symbol.

I have the Oppo player, bought it a couple of weeks ago. In the HDR settings in Video Output Setup, there is a new option called "Strip Metadata" which isn't in the manual when I tried to find out what exactly it was. Since Dolby Vision has metadata to sync exactly to the tv's settings, could this be the Dolby Vision setting?
