I know man it's a real bummer. Paramount is so frustrating. I'm also worried that if they eventually release it they won't at least port over the extras from the dvd (which they frequently don't) let alone any new special features.

I thought the first three were all great. Things Are Tough All Over is where the rot set in for me.

This one's definitely nowhere near Up in Smoke, but it has a handful of great scenes. The one Noirfan posted was the first thing I ever saw from one of their movies, and it totally holds up. Michael Winslow is an american treasure.

I remember years ago my family and relatives watching it on VHS (early 80s) - probably at least 10 people in the room laughing harder than I'd ever seen.

It was definitely one of my favorites as a young teen. I used to watch it constantly back then and quote the movie. I'd also search the web for wav files of the one-liners. Still enjoy the movie for what it is but it doesn't really make me laugh out loud much at all anymore.

Yes these guys were hilarious back in the day, and still to this day these movies hold up very well as raunchy, funny ass comedies. I was a fan of Cheech and Chong long before they made the movies, listening to them on records/albums. Would love to see their catalog on Blu-ray.

Hysterical movie!
I was working as an usher when we got Cheech & Chong's Next Movie the Saturday night before it's release for a sneak preview. The theater was packed! At the time, I don't remember any other movie getting massive laughs like that except for Animal House, The Jerk and the 70s Mel Brooks' films. That scene in the unemployment office is classic. |
