Speedrunning this was not fun.. it was pretty bad, but somehow, someway I managed to beat the game in less than 5 hours, and I got the platinum

I played the game 3 times in the past week, and Trico was never as bad as people online were saying... until the 3rd/speedrun playthrough

he was simply unresponsive at times, and was acting distracted/lazy, I don't know if that happens when you don't feed/pet him, or just random, but I got pretty pissed at times. thank god the game has a very forgiving 'reset checkpoint' system, that helped A LOT with the speed run

definitely a love/hate relationship with this game

EDIT: oh and the score is very good, I'm streaming it now

Game is my 2016 GOTY.

I don't care about unresponsive actions as the beast isn't meant to be under your control. It makes the bond between your character & Trico much more realistic. The art style is top notch & the musical score is emotional & engaging.

I haven't had any frustrating experiences with Trico yet. But the camera and the boy have got me a bit heated a few times.

I defended this game a lot but there was one instance that really made me mad lol. There was a part in the game when you HAD to feed Trico barrels.

You needed to place the barrels at a certain distance so that he could reach them. Took me over 30 minutes to feed him all the barrels.

I can't imagine speedrunning the game with that section alone lol.

you weren't supposed to put them on the ground, carry them and get close to his mouth and he'll eat from your hands

WOWWWWWWW lol. Maybe I should've given that a few more tries. His head seemed to nudge me out of the way, or I'd drop it. Maybe with the latest patches this works better now (I was on 1.01).

Finished it last night. What a wonderful game. I had none of the problems getting Trico to go where I wanted him like I see others complain about. Hell, most of the time he knew where he needed to go without me having to even ask him. A true gem of gaming right there with Ico, and to a lesser extent Shadow of the Colossus.

This is on sale at Best Buy for $39.99. With GCU it's $31.99. That was my impulse range.

Yeah the $39.99 USD price is a permanent price drop. Hopefully more people are inclined to play the game now.

I bit of advice. I figured out while playing that if Trico wont follow your instructions, try reloading the checkpoint and he will usually listen the first time on the reload. Saved me a lot of frustration.

Thanks! I just finished it today. The controls were horrible and often the game felt more like a chore than fun. That ending though!

Finally got around to opening my collectors edition for this game.

Yes... I shamefully admit that I've had this game in my back log and un opened since last December

. Hey what can I say... I had a crazy busy holiday season where I was out of the country in Dec for 3 weeks starting in the early part of that month and then came back after Christmas and then I was gone again 2 weeks later and spent another week in Orlando visiting a friend and I was there for Disneyworld marathon weekend.

Anyways I'll just say I'm glad I spent the extra the money on the CE for this game.The detail on the Trico model, the steel book case for the game, and the soundtrack of the game, which I'm listening to right now as I'm type of the post and while I wait for the for 4 GB game update to finish downloading, is pretty damn good.

I'm looking forward to finally getting around to playing this game.

Also does anyone have any custom high res amazing wallpaper screenshot's from the game that we can download and use for the PS4 background ?

So I'm currently playing it now. I think I might of gotten a serious case of vertigo with a certain moment in the game where you're basically in the air climbing through chains and planks to knock over a glass eye

Artistic game, though I really wish there was a way to eliminate the extreme overexposure contrast. The rock ground is almost bright white at times, when it should be a darker gray. Everything is washed out color wise.

It does resemble a PS3 game, but I'm glad it's been ported for the PS4, as it's a good game in the classic style of this team.

Some of the puzzles are unclear as expected, and misdirection from Trico doesn't help either. Like when he's in the water and then hops up onto the pillar, and is just watching you and then looking forward. It took a half an hour to finally jump off the

and then he jumped up to the next zone.

Other than that, it's a cool game with a combination of Colossus and Ico in some ways. Finally got to playing this after putting it off for other games.
