Is the Twilight Zone tv show scary? - Blu-ray Forum

I remember the opening, in the woods, of 'Tales from the Darkside' scaring me to hell years ago - in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, I watched the show, for the first time in the 2000's on a Sci-Fi marathon, and it's terrible. I mean it's pretty bad. One of the worst anthology series.

I expected to like it because I liked Tales from the Crypt, but that's much better.

The Twilight Zone is something that is hit and miss for me. Maybe I'm too young. I like I Love Lucy; I like The Three Stooges; I like The Addams Family from the 60's.

However, in its defense, The Twilight Zone is miles better than Tales from the Darkside and Monsters. And those were 30 years newer.

I would put, for me, The Twilight Zone in second place below Tales from the Crypt.

Sorry guys... I'm just a huge Crypt Keeper junkie and love his character too much.

Tales from the Crypt - Episodes are all over the place. Scattered A-episodes mixed with B, C, D and even a couple F episodes. Pros - Love the Cryptkeeper to death. I always loved his intros. My favorite episodes tend to come from the 1st, 2nd and 4th seasons. Seasons 5-7, for me, are almost unwatchable.

The Twilight Zone - A little worse for me, but there are episodes I like.

Tales from the Darkside and Monsters are unwatchable, for me, and I am suppose to be the target audience for them.
