Only Patriot made it into the top 10 of the new releases. Looks like they'll probably hold their own next week.

The horizon is looking better beyond that. I can see Blu-ray taking and holding 70% by the end of the month.

You mean closing it further until the only thing left to bite off is DVD.

Yep, which goes to show that older catalog titles just don't cut it. Hence, Universal is really in the crapper, since they don't have any new releases worth spit, and they're barrage of old catalog titles hasn't made a single dent in the war and is actaully losing them ground.

I decided to add these stats to my stat site.

For a table and a graph, feel free to check out http://www.blu-raystats.com/percentages.php

I think that the Since Inception graph rocks

For those who are bloody lazy, here's the ad.

Click for a bigger image. Imageshack has resized this picture a bit too small. Anybody know of another image hosting site that won't resize?

Also, found the aggregate sales data interesting! Not one HD-DVD exclusive on that list!

I just think that with the recent price reduction of the PS3, these Nielsen/Videoscan BD numbers will keep on impressing and amazes us. When is the earliest we would see the impact of the PS3 pricecut? Two weeks from now?

Ideally we could see it next week, since next Friday's numbers represent this weeks sales, but with it being the PS3, people would probably buy a game before a BD movie, so yea, two weeks is a good guess. One thing I really think we should see: the price cut should move 300 sales more in our favor.

BR hasn't had much for releases in what... 2 weeks or more? And still holding ground.

Should really jump when BR does.

Yep. This was supposed to be when HD DVD clawed back some of the lead. And BD has sailed through the down time (probably related to summer vacations, etc.) without blinking.

Even Graffeo has to start wondering about HD DVD now.

The equilibrium has shifted from 60:40 to 65:35 - we are almost at 2:1.

I don't expect HD DVD will win a week in 2007 now. Which means never again
