Question How often do you watch your favorite movie on Blu-ray?

There are about 5 films I'll watch once, twice or maybe three times a year, but others don't get that much play. If I'm lazy I'll watch the same film twice before changing the disc.

Length has a lot to do with it since "Lawrence of Arabia" can be a long night but "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" always seems just right

I have a couple hundred favorites that I watch multiple times a year. It helps that I have them all on a portable 5 TB hard drive.

Depends on my mood for what I'll rewatch.

I've watched The Force Awakens more than any blu ray in my collection. I would say Blade Runner: Final Cut would be second. If we want to include VHS, then The Original Star Wars Trilogy views would be off the charts!

Yeah, as much as I watch the original Star Wars films I just ripped the LD transfers to all of my computers.

I'm always afraid of ruining a favourite film by watching it too often, so a favourite won't get watched more than once a year, maybe every two years, a fun movie that I just like will be watch far more often.

I've watched my favorite movie, Out of the Past, about 15 times on Blu-ray since I bought it a couple of years ago.

I also revisit my James Bond 007 Blu-rays all of the time.

Why don't you buy a backup, that way you can watch it as often as you like

Over the past year or two I've been (rather unsuccessfully) trying to put a dent in my unwatched pile so I don't rewatch favorites as often as I used to.

At least not in their entirety, anyway. Things like Goodfellas, The Maltese Falcon and The Little Shop of Horrors (1960) still find their way into the player a few times a year but I don't generally watch them all the way through.

I also revisit the Phoebe Cates pool scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High on a surprisingly frequent basis.

For nostalgia's sake, of course.

I watch my entire collection at least once a year. There's a select group of films I watch more though. Anywhere from 5-20 times a year. Like The Great Owl said though there are definitely certain scenes I revisit frequently.....namely scenes from Basic Instinct, Rosanna Arquette's nude scenes from Nowhere to Run and Cindy Morgan's nude scene from Caddyshack off of the top of my head.

On Blu-ray, I've probably watched the first couple of Alien movies, the first two Indy Jones, and Blade Runner the most. I would have included The Terminator but the lack of original soundtrack mean I've not watched it as often.
On previous formats the same as others, the original Star Wars Trilogy got constant rotation. I used to get up at 5 or 6 in the morning to watch a Star Wars movie before School

He might be talking about spoiling the movie through overexposure (which can definitely happen) rather than physical wear and tear on the disc itself.

Play It Again Sam
AC/DC Live at River Plate

Last week I did watch Sunset Boulevard, 3 times.

I watch Lost in Translation a couple of times a year.

Funny enough I've watched Happy Together four times since last June, two of those viewings over the past few weeks.
