Honestly, who cares? Curtis Martin is in as a Jet yet made a Super Bowl as a member of NE. It's all fan boy sh*t for conversation at a bar or some inane sports-based TV show that all amounts to precisely dick.

I read on twitter that Tony Romo was paid a huge sum every day for over 5700 odd days.

It amounted to $127m.

That's a pretty penny.

Philadelphia wasn't a bad gig for Daniel. Got paid $12 million for being 1/1 passing for 16 yards. (Although $5 million of that is offset)

He was basically a coach that wore a uniform. There to help Wentz.
It's all about helping the kid!

How exactly is a career backup QB with one passing TD in 7 years supposed to help develop a young QB?

Many coaches didn't have on-field success but were able to teach, in the form of a coach. Pederson was brought in, by Reid, to help McNabb.
Pederson being a first time head coach with a huge move to draft Wentz wanted some insurance just in case.

Demarcus Ware retired today

Quote:
Ex-Cowboys and Broncos OLB DeMarcus Ware has announced his retirement after 12 seasons.

"After a lot of thought and prayer, I've decided to accept the unknown and retire from my NFL career," Ware said in a poignant statement. Going on 35, Ware has remained an effective pass rusher, but been plagued by back issues. He is probably smart to quit while he's ahead. The No. 11 pick of the 2005 draft out of small-school Troy, Ware rolled up 138.5 career sacks, 117 of which came with the Cowboys. He's eighth all time on the quarterback takedown list. The four-time first-team All-Pro will be Canton-bound.

Rickah is a funny dude with his Eagles. He will rationalize everything as a smooth move even when it is clearly dumb.

Just the other day I was talking about how stupid the Eagles were for the Daniel deal. I was essentially proven correct today when they had to eat $5mil by cutting him. What a waste.

Daniel wasn't even brought in for Wentz. No Eagles fan thought they'd get Wentz at this time. Neither did the Eagles FO... because they just threw a ton of money at Bradford and Daniel.

Chip Kelly made a lot of great moves too, of course. Lol
I can be very critical of my team when IMO it's warranted.
We get Daniel as an insurance policy for the rookie, that the franchise is heavily banking on....small price to pay, especially when you take the average cost of both QBs.
The plan changed when Bradford got traded, as it was too good to pass up. Wentz was basically thrown to the wolves with zero prep, and he showed some promise. Thusly Daniel became expendable.
Unlike some teams, Philly wanted to "Do Right" and released Daniel asap, as no trade was going to happen, and if the offset was worked out they might save a few dollars of this year's cap.
How is this bad again?
