There's a theory that because Life is a Sony movie and the trailer for it reuses some meaningless crowd shot from Spider-Man 3, it may secretly be a symbiote movie that will lead into the recently announced Venom spinoff. I don't think it will be, but it's always possible.

Yeah, I watched that too. Seems far fetched but like you said...anything is possible.

And yeah its far fetched I don't really think it is a Venom prequel unless Deadpool went to space before, you know, he turned into Deadpool. But it would be a pretty cool twist

Even if that wasn't the original plan, they should pull a 10 Cloverfield Lane and retcon it into a Venom movie.

No it wasn't, it originally started out as a movie called The Cellar, but JJ Abrams, and company thought they could fit it into the Cloverfield universe, and added stuff to make that fit.

I didn't know that, I always felt the whole cloverfield aspect didnt fit and sort of ruined it for me. I probably would've liked it more with the original story, still enjoyed it though
