Sometimes it is best not to ask questions. Usually when questions get asked things usually get worse and or disappear (aka deals).

Thing is, there are always multiple links to any given promotion. They deleted the one, but there are still others with the same heading:

Does anybody know if D2D mobile is replacing in-store D2D? I visited three Walmarts today. Two told me their store no longer participates. The third store couldn't get their login information to work, making me think they no long participate either.

Good. Maybe they are just going to let us do it ourselves.

...of course, if they dont fix the tons of titles that dont work at home, then we are even more screwed.

That's been the standard m.o. for a lot of stores for a while so hard to tell what that means.

the walmart i go to regularly for d2d said they received an email that the vudu instore d2d was being removed effective immediately and that customers can go to walmart.com for further information

Me too, and I work at a Walmart and have done 3 D2D conversions for customers this month... Sounds like nonsense, but I'll ask our photo department manager.

Shoot. I just gave my mom back her unreadable DVDs. Hope it's true and that it works better than the current software at reading discs. I'd wager a guess that they will kill the 50% deal with this though.

This definitely sounds interesting. I know I have a couple of BD's lying around the house that say their D2D but VUDU doesn't read them. Garden State, for example, being one of them.

Really hope this is the case. Or at least, it sounds the smartest of the possibilities mentioned thus far.

Na, will still need those 50% deals for films that are rare on physical media.

Okay.... For the first time I regret tossing all of my cases. A few years ago, to save space I put a lot of my DVDs in a disc binder and threw away the cases.

Guess it somewhat worked out though, as all the ones I didn't do this to, my Blu-rays and hddvds, were stolen from my storage unit.

I've been putting most of my DVDs/BDs in binders for years (a bit backed up on DVDs atm though, focus shifted to BD and the DVDs just sort of accumulate), but have kept the sleeves in a big box. I'm pretty stoked re: this news.
