The thing is, her behavior during the intervention scene has nothing to do with anything connected to Walter's illegal activities.

It's not even tangentially related.

It has to do with the fact that she cares more about her own feelings than she does about Walter's.

...and she tries to bully everyone around her to get what she wants.

Skylar is hands down the most despicable character on the show. Everyone else is an honest dbag and villain, she is not.

Season 1 was never one of my favorite BB seasons, but I may have to reevaluate that after this last viewing.

It's the funniest season imo and by far the least depressing.

...I didn't feel like killing myself after it was over.

Three episodes into season 2 and I've lost count of how many scenes there are of Skyler acting like a complete biatch to people who haven't even done anything wrong.

When
[Show spoiler]Walt disappears and Hank brings over a detective colleague of his to help, she starts giving him shit while he's asking her questions. And it's the way she does it, with acid-tongued sarcasm, that just makes me want to throw up.

To her credit, she does check herself and apologize...which is unusual for the antichrist.

Every man, woman and child is entitled to their own opinion and no one opinion is more valid than another when it comes to art.

That being said, as much as I like Better Call Saul, I really believe that the folks trying to put it on the same level as Breaking Bad are mindfunking themselves into seeing something that just isn't there.

They want to believe it's true, because it mitigates the pain they feel at the loss of Breaking Bad. But I just watched a methhead
[Show spoiler]get his head crushed like a watermelon by an ATM machine.

Better Call Saul is very, very good...maybe even great.

...but it is not Breaking Bad.

Breaking Bad was a once-in-a-generation level show, the likes of which may never be seen again in our lifetime.

I don't see why BCS has to be better than BB. It's a different show, just set in the same universe. I'm also glad it isn't suffering from prequel-itis where they are writing it to lead into BB, and are letting it be its own thing (which is the one thing where many prequels fail at).

Yeah, Skylar gets a lot of hate. But try re-watching the series through her point of view. You'll start to side with her and see a difference.

Nothing will come close to topping Ozymandias for me.

...not even most things in life.

Already tried that on my fourth playthrough of the series and I still hate her.

Gotta hand it to Anna Gunn though, her ability to make me hate this character says a lot about her acting.

Honestly that's what I'm doing.

...it isn't working.

She was acting liking the princess of darkness well before Walt starting dancing with the blue lady.

She is the one who knocks.

...she is the danger.

Yeah Ozymandias is great.

...if you enjoy the feeling of knowing that this world and everything in it is a living hell.

My favorite episode of Breaking Bad is probably Box Cutter. When Gus enters that room and speaks not a word at all through the entire sequence, you know shit has gone down.

I also love the fly episode and the train heist one.

If you could only watch two BB episodes for the rest of your life, would "The Fly" be one of them?

Fly was boring. I don't know why everyone loses their minds over it. Likely more attached to the director than the actual episode.

I liked the train episode a lot....and that finale...
