Does anyone know if the Best Buy SteelBook will be available after release (I won't be able to pick mine up until April 1st and I don't have a pre-order)?

It was a pre-order bonus that Best Buy treated as a separate item and shipped separate. It's not like a limited release where you can find it packaged in the steel on the shelf. I would say ymmv as some physical locations may just have some lying around but I wouldn't count on it.

This could have probably gone in the game thread.

Oh, I understand now. I'll try in April and if I can't get it, it's fine. I'll pick up the SteelBook later.

The only game thread I saw was the FemRyder or Ryder thread..

Yeah I've seen BB do it this way a couple of times. Persona 5 on the other hand actually is getting a limited run steel but it is not a separate item so that should be able to be picked up after release day.

They even do it with regular Blu-Rays. Just wish the SteelBooks were a guaranteed quantity.

Picked up my copy @ BB along with the steelbook case. Unfortunately I have to go to work soon so I was only able to create my player & go through the opening cinematic. I will be able to sink into it this weekend though.

So, how does it work? Just go in and pick up the game, and they'll give you the SteelBook, kinda like what Skyrim Special Edition did?
