Golden Age 3-D Features

I just noticed that Gene Barry is in Those Redheads From Seattle. The only other movie I know of him really is The War of the Worlds-1953 (other than a cameo in War of the Worlds-2005). I am having a hard time imagining him singing in this. I guess it will all come down to "seeing is believing"...in 3D.

It's worth noting; this will be the first commentary track on a vintage 3-D feature to actually focus on the stereoscopic aspect of the film. While there are other Golden Age commentary tracks, they primarily discuss the cast/crew and any mention of 3-D is simply a casual reference. Our commentary is quite the opposite: cast and crew get brief mentions and the entire focus is on depth.

- And quite possibly the first commentary track on any 3-D feature to focus on stereoscopy. Audio commentaries on 3-D discs are a rarity as it is.

Indeed and that little sample will give you an idea of what to expect from Hillary on the REDHEADS commentary!

It's worth mentioning that both Gene Barry and Guy Mitchell did another musical together, Red Garters (1954). As I recall, Gene actually does a number in that one.

So true and it was Gene Barry testing for RED GARTERS that landed him the role of Johnny Kisco in REDHEADS when John Payne had to bow out.

And RED GARTERS was originally planned for 3-D lensing. Round and round it goes!
