1000 Blus seems to be my "freak out" point. Every time I have come close, I think "what the heck am I doing with my life?!" and sell off a bunch.

I always buy way too much and never get around to watching so many things. I put a lot of releases (much of it never opened) on eBay and have more set to go.

I know exactly what you mean. I reached 1400 about six times before I actually crossed the line and stayed over it and even then, I think like "I COULD be doing something better/beneficial..." but I love movies too much. I am looking at pruning again soon, but I probably won't drop below again. It's also a space issue.
