I only get audio sync issues through the occasional streaming program, never with bluray...Or maybe I am just not very sensitive to it

Not worth it. And again, I own this player.

The three contenders right now are the Sony (especially if it gets Dolby Vision), LG, and Oppo.

It may not be worth to you, but plenty of others haven't had any problems with it. I know who the contenders are, but right now, they're more expensive. This is an entry level player, it's not an Oppo, or Sony, or the Panasonic. Right now, no one seems to have the Sony machine in stock. The other two are way more expensive. I'm on a budget. I can only afford this one at the moment. When the time comes, I'll upgrade.

This is a great player. Not all of us want to have Oppo 203 player to watch UHD and 3D.

You can watch 3D with the Sammy too.

I too like the player. I've not had any issues nor feel like there's something lacking in the picture quality.

Both UHD and 3D meet my standards of satisfaction. Nothing about this player has motivated me to shell out the extra $$$ for a higher end player thus far

There was a bit of vibration playing 4K movies during the boot up, but it goes away. Other than that, no complaints and I have two of them.

Those vibrations (or lack thereof) are not worth an extra $200+ in my opinion

My first Blu-ray player had a loud whining at start up that eventually would go away when the movie started. That was a Sony player. I currently have Samsung Blu-ray player that is quieter the Sony was. I've always been a big fan of Sony products, but Samsung is getting my money this time. I can't wait to watch Rogue One in glorious UHD. I'm getting a woody just thinking about it.

I don't know if I would call this a "great" player. It does a yeoman's job. It has some quirks.

IF you have a UHD display that can handle Dolby Vision or are considering one, then the Samsung players are not what you want.

I have an Oled TV. I watch both HDR and Dolby Vision on it.

Then you need a player that can handle the upcoming Dolby Vision disc titles. Samsung does not support DV.

I dont see that as being an imminent thing in mass numbers. HDR will remain the main physical media for many years to come. To call this player 'outdated' because of Dolby Vision blurays (which are not even out yet) is a little exagerated

Well, it looks like the first titles are on the way. Sure, you can play the HDR10 layer, but then you won't be getting the most from your Dolby Vision display.

Curious how your so willing to preach 60fps without any content(one lousy movie) yet your anti Dolby vision?? A year from now we will have DV discs but doubt any more 60fps

I'm with Filmfreak if I was in the market for a player and was willing to spend $200 on Samsung I would be looking at the Sony instead.
