The ratings were great which means HBO will definitely work with the cast and crew again. The director has already confirmed there won't be a season 2. And there definitely shouldn't be.

The director has said that he doesn't want to do a season 2, not that there won't be.

I don't know why you're taking this so seriously. All I'm saying is that more episodes of the show isn't totally out of the question.
