I like this, a very good film. Alternate artwork, nice touch. I expect to pick this up in the 2 for £25. Might do it Scanner Darkly

Love this film. This release looks nice, but I'll stick with my US release.

Niccol's only good film, from what I've seen of his (though he did write The Truman Show which is one of my favourite films of the 90's). Will pick this up at some point, though I'm starting to wonder if all these 'Premium Collection' titles will just be reissued as standard catalogue Blu-rays, in which case I'd much rather pay half the price and skip the artcards/slipbox.

Reversible cover is a nice touch, though the design they used for the slipbox is clearly the nicest.

I assume more Sony titles will join Jason and the Argonauts and Gattaca - most likely Donnie Brasco but possibly some others too. A shame they won't license these to Indicator or Eureka, who would update the extras and add booklets.

PS: could this not be moved to the Premium Collection thread?

I came close to importing the US release a while back, it's nice to see this make it's Blu-ray debut in the UK, the clear amaray case is especially fitting for this one. Very sci-fi-esque.

Is this likely to be a new master, or just the original Blu-ray one? I still have the ancient DVD so am interested in upgrading to this if it's a new remaster.

Incredible looking package. Shame it's an HMV exclusive, I'd probably buy it otherwise.

I've never seen this, in my younger days it always looked boring to me. I was really into sci fi but sci fi with action. I'll definitely give this a blind buy now though.

Lord of War is great and S1mone and Good Kill aren't too bad, S1mone is an interesting failure. Still think the first 5 minutes of The Truman Show almost ruin the entire film and Niccol's original script was way darker.

It's cool for people that never imported it, but I did. Eight years ago.

I have the French blu, so I would be interested if they used a new master.

Would like to see a 4k UHD BD of this pic. Wonderful Michael Nyman score.

Yeah I didn't mind Lord of War, but Good Kill was terrible imo (honestly preferred the more tongue-in-cheek/pseudo-satirical Eye in the Sky). As for The Truman Show, I wouldn't want it to be any darker really - Weir and Carrey performed a brilliant balancing act, and the film was just the right amount of everything to make it a very memorable drama. I still love it to this day.

But yeah, Gattaca is a good one too. I know it's a little cheesy but I can think of fewer great roles for Ethan Hawke and Jude Law (the latter whom I rewatched in Soderbergh's Side Effects on telly last night, another of his better roles).

Quite interested in grabbing this one, as overlooked it on release & have never imported it. Question is are they going to announce June titles soon as have nothing to pair it with. Only recently caved with Outland & Squid & the Whale.

Probably my favourite SF film of the 90s and its just an absolute classic for me. Action junkies will probably get bored but I love it. It also helps that it has a ridiculously good soundtrack and some great visuals despite being a relatively small budget film.

Easily my favourite of Niccol's films. My favourite Jude Law and Ethan Hawke film too come to that.

I wish we had an Andrew Niccol commentary on this one.

Has someone seen it already? What about PQ and the master used?
Thanks
