I've wanted to see 8 Million Ways to Die for years, despite it's troubled history.

I'm sure the commentary will be very interesting too.

Wow, I just looked this up and it got 0% on the tomatometer. How is that even possible? Meh, what do critics know? I'm interested.

There are only 8 reviews linked there, because it's a movie which was released more than a decade before rotten-tomatoes.com existed.

MisterLime posted something very interesting in TGTBATU thread:

Intriguing. You suspect it's a major title to get this kind of treatment, but then I can't really think of anything in the MGM, ABC and Paramount catalogues that would fit the remit for an exceptional release, The Keep aside (I doubt it will be that, given that MisterLime has previously alluded to Kino having that film and then having it taken from them). An independent acquisition maybe?

A question for MisterLime - do you have access to Four Flies on Grey Velvet via the Paramount deal?

"most likely art from the new poster" seems like a clue -- it suggests that it might be one of the titles that they are releasing in repertory theaters.

Yep, I'd also guess the film might have an anniversary this year too.

As cool as that may be, Paramount no longer owns the rights. Last time I checked, MYA Communications owns the rights (not sure if they still do).

Very cool looking covers. If the fashion for home video covers these days is floating heads of the film's stars, this is an example of how to do it right.

Someone asked if we'll be doing a slipcase for GBU and I said no, we haven't done them for the first 300+ releases, so why start now.

Then I mentioned the horror film as maybe the first KLSC release with a slipcase due to a new theatrical poster.

I never confirmed the title, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Yes, we had it under contract was about to start working on the 4K, but ended up losing it. Cannot share the reason with anyone, but it wasn't music related.

And Four Files on Grey Velvet is no longer with Paramount.

Can you / did you say whether it was lost to another label or pulled back for unspecifiable reasons? [I'm trying to infer how likely it is that anybody else will ever release it.]

Anyone know if Kino is planning to correct MAN ON FIRE and THE PARK IS MINE due to the improper black levels?
