it's out on it's own in Australia. And of the 3 films on that disc,it's the 3rd best

The only reason I didn't buy the region free Australian release was to see what the domestic release would contain in terms of possible extras. Unrelated movies I couldn't care less about don't qualify, so the Australian Blu-ray is on the way.

We've (I've) officially passed the half way mark in our (my) Sho Movies on Blu-ray quest.

As others have said, the region free Australian Blu-ray of BLIND FURY is awesome.
You blew it Mill Creek.

Anyway, that makes 7 of Sho's 12 movies on Blu-ray (if we don't count his pre-fame/pre-ENTER THE NINJA ones).

That just leaves these 5 movies:

9 DEATHS OF THE NINJA
ALOHA SUMMER
BLACK EAGLE
JOURNEY OF HONOR
DRUG CONNECTION

Going by the fact that all 7 previous releases featured Sho as a ninja, the most likely one to get released would be 9 DEATHS OF THE NINJA, but I fear we might have to settle for one of those double or triple feature releases. Hopefully if that happens, they'll at least couple or trouple it with appropriate/same genre movies (you listening Mill Creek?). Although, I'd much rather have 9 DEATHS by itself, it would be ok if they did a double feature with either IMMORTAL COMBAT starring Sonny Chiba and Roddy Piper, or with RED SUN RISING starring Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Terry Farrell, and Mako. Like 9 DEATHS both of these films feature a ninja cop/undercover agent (Chiba and Wilson respectively), and in the case of RED SUN RISING, the same production company (AMRITRAJ PRODUCTIONS). A "Ninja Cop Triple Feature" with all 3 films wouldn't be too bad I suppose.

Sho's epic samurai adventure JOURNEY OF HONOR is the one I want the most. The best copy is still the Letterboxed Laserdisc from Universal. ALOHA SUMMER, where Sho plays a modern-day samurai is also long overdue, with the best and only copy the 4:3 VHS!

BLACK EAGLE is probably a safe bet to happen at some point. Hopefully the print will be better than the horrible oil painting looking one that's reportedly on the German and UK releases.

DRUG CONNECTION is probably the most unlikely to happen as it is a Japanese Yakuza film. It might get released in Japan (it is on DVD), but it will have no subs if it does. Hard to imagine a US label releasing it, but I hope someone does.

Would also be cool if THE FIGHTING KING, 2 martial arts movies Sho directed starring his son Kane for Toei V-Cinema, also got the Blu-ray (or even DVD) treatment at some point.

Excellent analysis/prospect.
We truly need "9 DEATHS" to round out his glorious ninja legacy and complete the HD treatment of it...

9 Deaths... was one of the most gloriously campy movies made, and yeah I'd totally plump for a BD release of that. Hoping Shout Factory or someone else that can do a better job than Mill Creek get a hold of it.

I love love love the Arrow discs. I am hoping that this Germany release is a preview of what is to come.

I love his cheesy movies. I need to get Blind Fury. Glad there is a better alternative out there.

Thanks for the heads up. This is unfortunately the same German company that released BLACK EAGLE in a print that looks like an oil painting, so...

Can a North American release be far behind?

On thing that is interesting is that there's a second disc on this release labeled "Behind The Scenes".

Hopefully a review of this will appear soon.

YES! Awesome! I know their quality is often crap, but they often have special features, which I love. Close to having a complete Kosugi collection on the format now. Happy camper!

THE MASTER (1984) TV SERIES is coming out on Blu-ray!!!
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-M...lu-ray/188627/

I never thought I'd see this series released on Blu-ray. This is an absolute must get. Sho not only doubles Van Cleef, but he's fantastic as the villain Okasa.

I just wish they'd use this image for the Blu-ray cover instead of that lame B&W pic of Van Cleef.

Wait - The Motherf'in Master is getting a Blu release?!? Oh hell yeah! I am SO buying this!!!!

Nothing says Kung Fu than a badass Lee Van Cleef* doing some chopsocky on everyone
else in the room.

*Well, a guy in a mask pretending to be Lee Van Cleef.

It was a very good show. All good eighties shows stand the test of time anyway, trust me.

I remember seeing this as 2 re-edited movies called Master Ninja I & II on VHS. How long did the series run (total running time)?
