Problem is if atl in kickoff game then they have their new stadium open in wk2 in primetime too that would mean primetime games 2 wks in a row to start the season....thatd be unusual.

Also they use it now in october to counter program baseball nlcs playoff game 7.

I'm a realist. I have no reason to believe that with this HC, a new OC and a journeyman QB who has played for half the teams in the league that we'll win anything more than a handful of games if that.

It was Ron Rivera that convinced the league that a Super Bowl rematch was a bad idea for the opener. He complained a lot that it was unfair that the Panthers had spent the whole offseason trying to forget about the Super Bowl and then had to switch gears and focus on that game again to plan for the opener. He also thought it was unfair that the defending conference champion would have such a tough road game to start the season.
