Can you watch Logan without seeing any of the X-Men/Wolverine movies?

The movie definitely has more impact having seen Logan/Wolverine in the previous movies. But, for someone who hasn't seen the previous movies, can't say it would be worth all the trouble/effort just to get to Logan. The movie does work well as a solo effort, and one could always go back and make their way through the others if curious, maybe even given Logan a re-watch after that.
