There are far more knowledgeable peeps on here regarding which studios license out what material to who, but I should imagine it would be a very lucrative acquisition for Arrow. Carrie's obviously still a (rightfully so) highly-regarded movie and I bet my left testicle it would be a top seller, especially if given the typical deluxe Arrow treatment.

Shock Treatment is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I'm pretty sad there won't be a US release. Mostly 'cause importing is a pain in the butt down here.

Edit: 2000 copies of each edition? Crap. That makes it an instant pass. I'll wait for the standard release instead... or hope for a US version.

If they're not engaged in explicitly sexual physical acts their should be no problem, after all in the last few years the BBFC have passed both Babylove and 800 Bullets uncut both of which contained scenes that I thought may have been problematic under the UK's peculiarly vague child protection laws.

It shouldn't be - all of your info, including credit card, address, and password - is stored at every Amazon site worldwide, so ordering something from Amazon UK is the exact same process as ordering it from Amazon US.

Amazon Japan is an exception, you do have to open a new account there. (Which I thought was pretty odd.)

The issue is Mexican Customs... I get my US purchases delivered to a US PO Box and go back home by foot. As long as I bring the receipt there's no problem. They'll complain but usually let me pass without charging me a dime, because I'm still following the rules.

But something from another country, that wasn't bought in US Dollars? They'll use that as an excuse to try to tax me. Because they're jerks. I still remember that time they tried to charge me $50 USD for getting some old Mega CD games...

I had no idea I could use my Amazon US account in the UK, though! I may just use some of my spare credit there to buy some stuff I've been meaning to import... Ta.

I didn't mean/don't know if the credits from the US site can be used on the UK one (just that your account settings/info were all saved and didn't need to be re-entered), but give it a try.

I would love to see Wild Zero get the Arrow Treatment, Junk and Versus would also be great.

For a second I thought you said you might be putting the house on there as you don't want it. I was thinking, fair enough, some people might use a real estate agent, but you never know, maybe you'll get a good price for it etc etc

AWESOME news for RONIN! Been waiting for a proper Blu-ray disc release and am completely floored with how awesome Arrow Video are having the features! A 4K remaster too?! This is great!
Yes, I even made a thread for it.

Fairly certain the Shameless DVD wasn't cut.

Interested in all of the 4 UK/US AV releases, not interested at all in the UK only Shock Treatment.

As for AA, interested in the 2 leaked titles (and probably the UK only Clash too) but nothing that exciting.

Never noticed that discrepancy, I only have the deluxe Digipack. What was dropped? Interview? Can you compare and post in the Ronin specific thread so we can check for the footage when the disc is released? This usually only happens when they edit contentious opinion moving from TV broadcasts to DVD extras. For example, extras on Clockwork Orange or Blade Runner or Exorcist, although that might be a Warners thing

I'm inclined not to spoiler the "leaked" Academy titles, seeing as they're announced on the front page of this site anyway but I will for now:
[Show spoiler]Gremillon's L'amour d'une femme
is one to look forward to, but this is one case where I'm disappointed Arrow didn't put together a box set as he seems an ideal case for doing so.

Also, re:
[Show spoiler]The Big Knife
- is this the first time Arrow have restored a studio film for an Academy release? I wondered when Academy expanded to the US whether they might start doing more restorations for the label. It's certainly an exciting development.

Only a week to go until release and I have no idea why their price-bots aren't matching HMV on this one.

Even if it only drops a week or two after release, contact Amazon they'll 'on this occasion one time etc' refund the difference. I've had it loads of times.

They do it straight away mostly. If not do the 'well I'll return it and repurchase the lower price', followed by, 'I'm really shocked and disappointed you'd rather I do this for the exact same result. Surprised you want to put your customers through this hassle' etc. So long as it's well within the 28day return policy you should have an issue. ....from my experience anyway.

Terror in a Texas Town (an MGM title) has also been restored by Arrow. Not aware if there are any before that.

Not only can you use your regular Amazon account to order from Amazon UK, you can get them to charge you in US dollars, so no "foreign" currency for the customs folks to get excited by.
