that may be, but they are still hoping/thinking ledger will pull a best supporting actor win. which i personally believe he deserves. i haven't been that impressed by a performance in a long time. one that i didn't want to miss a minute of.

after getting the blu there is no way I will go back to the theatre. The picture quality just sucks there and I see it. My eyes are used to my set.

I would go see it in Imax if it were playing next month. I don't have an Imax nearby, but I will be near one next month and would go in a heartbeat.

I think the only nomination TDK will get is best supporting actor, and I doubt Heath wins though his role was great. But after seeing Slumdog last night I really think that has a strong chance of winning best picture, Milk has a lot to live up to now.

I doubt it. I think the Academy has started a trend of nominating some indy/young movie to try to seem hip. They did it with Little Miss Sunshine two years ago, and Juno last year. Despite what some people were hoping, I doubt either really had any chance of winning. Slumdog is probably this year's version of those. They seem like movies people obsess over while they are out, but have no real lasting appeal years down the road (although the same can be said of some of the movies that win anyway).

Well LMS was a great movie, Juno was just way overhyped and I did not see what was so great about it at all. But Slumdog is a all around great and original film, and if it does not get nominated I will be very surprised, and I will be even more surprised if TDK gets nominated.

My wife and I love Juno. The dialog in it is so dryly sarcastic that it's hilarious. It's got cute catchy music, some great performances, and a nice little twist ending that strays away from typical Hollywood.

...maybe you're too young for it?

It was to dry for me, and the sarcasm got old. I hate indie music with a passion so there you go I hated the soundtrack...I thought I would like it but it was the total opposite.

How does me saying who I think will win best supporting actor make me a know-it-all? If I truly knew, I wouldnt be here posting about it. But imo Kevin Bacon in Frost/Nixon is more of the actor/character the academy usually chooses
